Mai Tokiha is a high school girl and is Takumi’s older sister, in which they both obtained a scholarship to the prestigious Fuuka Academy. While taking a ferry as a mini vacation before going to his new school, his brother sighted something… a young girl who was floating in the sea, and was clinging to a large black sword. So Mai was the only one on the ferry to apply cardiopulmonary respiration. After resuscitating the girl, Mai realizes that the girl has a birthmark identical to hers. The mystery seems to end there, until the person who left the mystery girl at sea approaches the ferry.
Mai Tokiha es una chica de preparatoria y es la hermana mayor de Takumi, en la que ambos obtuvieron una beca a la prestigiosa Academia Fuuka. Mientras tomaban un ferry como unas mini vacaciones antes de ir a su nueva escuela, su hermano avistó algo… una joven niña que estaba flotando en el mar, y estaba aferrada a una gran espada negra. Entonces Mai fue la única en el ferry en aplicar la respiración cardiopulmonar. Después de resucitar a la chica, Mai se da cuenta que la chica tiene una marca de nacimiento idéntica a la suya. El misterio parece terminar ahí, hasta que la persona que dejó a la chica misteriosa en el mar se acerca al ferry.

The story unfolds in the distant future, where “the old technology” has survived in the form of nanomachines which allow virgin women to have the role of bodyguards, assistants and warriors at the service of the royalty of several kingdoms, called Mesiter Otomes. The protagonist, Arika Yumemiya travels to the Kingdom of Windbloom in search of her mother. The series follows Arika’s progress as a student at Garderobe Academy and the machinations of those who desire the destructive power of old technology.
La historia se desarrolla en un distante futuro, en donde “la vieja tecnología” ha sobrevivido en la forma de nanomáquinas las cuales permiten a las mujeres vírgines tener el rol guardaespaldas, asistentes y guerreras al servicio de la realeza de varios de reinos, denominadas Mesiter Otomes. La protagonista, Arika Yumemiya viaje al Reino de Windbloom en busca de su madre. La serie sigue el progreso de Arika como estudiante en la Academia Garderobe y las maquinaciones de los que desean el poder destructivo de la vieja tecnología.

Not only this, but Arika and Mashiro, who have a troubled relationship, are hampering the use of the Azure-Sky sapphire possibly the weapon powerful enough to defeat this new adversary.
Un año después de los acontecimientos de Mai-Otome, un asteroide en curso de colisión con el Reino de Windbloom es destruido-apenas-por un grupo de trabajo internacional de Meister Otome. Posteriormente una nueva y más poderosa clase de esclavos aparece, junto con una siniestra entidad vestidos de negro entidades capaces de dominar fácilmente el más poderoso de Meisters. No sólo esto, sino que Arika y Mashiro ,que tiene una conflictiva relación, está obstaculizando el uso del zafiro de Azure-Sky posiblemente el arma lo suficientemente potente como para derrotar a este nuevo adversario.
