Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection has never heard the phrase “economy of storytelling”, and completely undoes Zero Requiem. And yet I basically loved this film from start to finish. Underneath it’s veneer of a fan-service movie, there’s some legitimately good stuff to pull out from it – and yes this is a big fan of the series talking so maybe if you’re less sold on Lelouch & Company than I am, be forewarned – and in this video we’ll talk about strengths & weaknesses in this film, and come to the conclusion that while this movie IS good…the next one might not be.
