It was announced last year that shenmue would be getting an original anime series from Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. Titled shenmue the Animation. The show is being directed by Chikara Sakurai (One Punch Man season 2) with the leading role of Ryo Hazuki being voiced by Masaya Matsukaze the same guy that voices Ryo Hazuki in the video game series). episode 1 premiered last sunday on the streaming platform Crunchyroll but also Adult Swim and on Toonami in North America. And they’ll be doing 1 episode a week.
