Winter 2022 contains a few dark anime in the obvious sense, but Kotaro Lives Alone has moments that feel utterly miserable. It also has a lighthearted side to it, though, and comedy that genuinely makes me laugh. Let’s talk about why it’s dark, why it’s wonderful, and why you should watch it.
