This show is still great, but man could it have been better. Later “pointless explanation” moments apparently come directly from the manga, so really CloverWorks was just showing us what we were in for. It’s bad either way.

It’s done by CloverWorks who also animated Wonder Egg Priority, Fate/Grand Order, and The Promised Neverland. It’s based on a manga that’s published in YOUNG JUMP essentially making it a SHOUNEN ANIME. It stars the main characters EMILICO / EMILI-KO and KATE, her SHADOWS HOUSE master.
