‘Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045′ Season 2 is set to pick up on the overarching plot left by season one.
The series is set in the year 2045. It follows a group of former members of Public Security Section 9 turned cyborg mercenaries called ‘GHOST’ as they try to protect the world against rising cyber threats.
With the emergence of Post Humans bringing even more threats to the already chaotic cyberpunk world, the GHOST members were forced to reunite under Section 9.
Towards the end of season one, Togusa stumbles upon a program that can awaken old memories while studying Takashi’s code. Togusa and Batou went to an old village in Kyoto, where Takashi briefly stayed with his uncle, hoping to find more clues about the Posthuman Think Pol developer.
Upon arriving in the village, Togusa begins seeing some of Takashi’s memories. At the end of the memories, Takashi offers Togusa a spot in the truck. Batou then lost sight of Togusa.
