初めての人斬り―。
覚悟していた事とはいえ、
横たわる死体を前に
返り血を浴びたまま
呆然と立ち尽くすカツシロウ。

駆け付けて来たカンベエは
震えるカツシロウを殴り付け、
人を殺めてこそのサムライであると
叱咤激励する。

お飾りで無い職業としてのサムライの道、
カンベエのその厳しい考えに触れ、
キララは汚れを知らない純粋な少年を
ここまで追い込んでしまった己の罪を恥じ、
血にまみれたカツシロウの心と共に
堕ちようと決意する・・・。
