BOSTON, MA — Celtics Head Coach Ime Udoka was interviewed following Boston’s 116-111 OT win over the Orlando Magic. Udoka said while the team had struggled with turnovers, they changed gears and said he was “happy with how we fought and battled back. We showed growth in that area.”
Jaylen Brown was the highlight of the night and a major part of the team’s comeback, notching 21 PTS in the 4th quarter on the way to a 50 PT performance. Brown put his stamp in Celtics history, becoming only the 4th Celtic in team history to have 50 PTS and 10 REB in a game; he joins teammate Jayson Tatum, Larry Bird and Kevin McHale for the honor.
On Brown’s night, Udoka said that “with him it’s just not overthinking it. Just taking what’s in front of him.” Udoka also spoke on avoiding slipping into “tunnel vision”, and said that Brown had been reviewing film in order to improve his playmaking.
