A government minister has told BBC Breakfast that there are currently “no plans” to cut self-isolation rules despite fears that the current seven day isolation period is causing staffing havoc in the NHS.

Member of Parliament for Norwich North Chloe Smith told BBC Breakfast that there are currently no plans to change from the current seven day isolation period. She urged Brits to get their boosters saying this was the best way to fight the surge in cases from Omicron.
