The ISS circles the Earth in roughly 8km/s and completes 16 orbits per day.
It is partially protected from the space environment by Earth’s magnetic field. From an average distance of about 70,000 km, depending on Solar activity, the magnetosphere begins to deflect solar wind around Earth and ISS.
This video occurred to me just how insignificant I am. And how bautiful our planet Earth.
