I Want to be Strong” Kaiju No.8 Episode 17 Breakdown
[Music] and into the pit. Yes, Ned. Thank you. Uh yo, it’s Thursday night’s animation block and we’re doing Kaiju number eight, episode 17. I’m going to just go with the the way they have it. I think that layout works. What’s up everyone? Welcome. Uh, Diabolical Souls presents the Animation Block. And yes, this one’s a good episode. I like this episode a lot. I forgot about this episode to be honest. I was like, did I see this episode? So, um, I’m with the guys. We’re ready to do this. We’re going to dive right into it. Uh, but before you do that, if you could if you could share the stream, that would be great. If you could hit the like button, be even better. Leave a comment. Subscribe to all these lovely gentlemen. Yes, they’re lovely. Look at them. They’re just they’re lovely. Look at them. Not so much. But um yeah, incredibly lovely [ __ ] By the way, love in his regards. Uh what’s that? N since his love and his regards. Oh yeah, I know. I know. Yeah, I know. He couldn’t make it. Um and um Nick, how are we doing, sir? How you feeling? You got to go to the game this week. You’ve been busy. You just been, you know, doing your thing. Yeah, I’ve been busy. Uh life is busy, but sometimes you you have to take time to enjoy yourself. And I surely enjoyed myself Tuesday night uh for the home opener for the uh the Panthers and the Blackhawks for uh NHL season’s back. The best sport in the world or at least one of I I’ll say I’ll be fair with football, but yeah, you know, uh it was a great time. Got to see a fight in the first period. Um sold out crowd. It was awesome to see the Stanley Cup in person and the banner being raised. So, just a a great experience and uh but I miss, you know, being with everyone and and uh talking about some fun topics uh and obviously good episodes like Kaij and Dark Wolf and dude I I was missing talking Darkwolf. I’m not going to lie. I know. I know. Yeah, especially with all the Jack Carr stuff with Craig Havoc coming out and he was on Pat McAfee this afternoon. I was just like listening to him the entire time like I’m like h gosh. Uh but yeah, no, it’s um I’m glad glad to be here. This is a this is a pretty pretty interesting episode. Um how it tails off from the previous one and and kind of what it’s what it’s setting up again. Uh but yeah, interesting to talk about with you gentlemen. Nice. Looking forward to it. Mr. Goodwin, how are we, sir? We’re doing pretty good. Um a little tired, but otherwise uh I’ve been uh been enjoying the day. You’re enjoying the day. You’re you’re you’re okay. Everything’s going to be all right. We don’t need to see anything like this. No, we already have it in this episode. So, I know this episode has like twice for there’s two reasons why I do that. One, cuz I know Goodwin hates that that stuff. But two, Blue Collar just loves it when you see him in the back room laughing his ass off. It just makes my day. Speaking of blue collar, how you doing, sir? I was re-watching Demon Slayer. I every time I see Zenetsu on screen, I just I got to pause. Speak Speaking Dark Wolf, did you notice that um one episode Ethan Sup’s in it? I’m watching this girl fight. I’m like, is that Ethan Paul’s Amazon? It’s Ethan Sley, you know, guy from My Name is Earl, the the one big big dude that she kicks his ass. Dude, that got jacked. The fat guy that got jacked as [ __ ] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ethan Sup. Yeah. Because I’m looking I’m like, is that him? I paused Amazon say Ethan Sup. He’s he’s he’s the guy with the beard. She set his beard on fire. Oh, yeah. I know. Yeah. Is it episode six, I think it was, or five? I forget. Episode six. But yeah, like that’s why, Nick, I’m purposely watching one at a time. It’s so [ __ ] good. I don’t want Dark Wolf to end. And it’s about I think it just ended. So, yeah, only seven. Yeah, I just watched six today. So, um, Leon, how are we? We rested. Well, rested. You had a long day yesterday. A long day yesterday. Then I decided I had such a good time with that long day yesterday. Monday today and did about a 5 hour stream. Then just did an hour and a half of the doulies. Now I’m going to be doing this. I’m going to be on with AJ tonight. Then I have a watch party in my Discord tonight. Then I have to make a video for tomorrow. It’s going to be a whole lot. But you know what? I love the life I live. You’re never going to hear me complain about it. It’s beautiful. It’s fantastic. And I had one hell of a good day today. So I’m excited to continue it with the boys. Oh, okay. True that. True that. All right. Well, episode 17. You guys ready to dive into this? Everyone in the chat ready to do this? Let’s do this. Um So we start off uh we kind of get a recap from uh the previous week uh the battle between Kaiju number nine. He’s morphed into he’s well he took in um director Shinamia and he’s become this even bigger than life uh Kaiju uh because now he has Kaiju number two and Kaiju I guess number nine powers and Nick possibly some other powers that he has that we haven’t been revealed yet potentially. Yeah. Damn. Potentially. Yeah, I think he told us that um when he mentioned that he’s been defeating Kaiju um himself before Nova was in season one. Yeah. And so we’re seeing the battle between the two and we’re seeing uh well, we’re seeing a white screen. That’s great. Uh we’re seeing uh we’re just seeing the kind of like recapping from last week where they were trying to they attacked him right away. They they were em all of them were emotionally charged. attacked Kaiju number nine. He was the like pretty much on on the defense and just was like he knew what was coming because he’s very good at like watching and dissecting each other all these people’s moves and he knows what to anticipate and uh so yeah, we’re just seeing that happening here. We see him with the new wings, we see him with the new skin, we see everything with Kaiju number nine in the beginning here. Um, and he’s even like he knows what to expect when uh Ren uh or Gen uh or Nurmy, whatever one you want to use. Uh when he uses his big weapon on him and he’s like, “Yeah, you’ve already pulled that off once already. I know what to expect here.” And then he again with Kaiju number eight, he knows what to expect from Kafka here. So, it’s just a battle of like them, you know, trying to get uh the a the director back and take out Kaiju number nine. And anyone you want to mention anything quickly, but before we get into the actual episode, but it was a it was a I liked last week’s episode. I know some people like I think Goodwin and I think Niet had and I think actually Leon didn’t didn’t think it was that uh it was good, but it wasn’t that great. They they did things that that I mean it should have been a great episode. There were just a couple of little things they did that kind of made it just drop to really good. Yeah. Yeah. That was the the mentality I had as well. Yeah. I mean I’ll just say like you know in the beginning part here, right? like Kaiju number nine. Um, in some cases I’m like he sleeps on on uh anatomy, you know, and he does say and think that Kaiju number eight is the real problem, right? like he understands that out of anyone that could potentially be a threat, it’s actually Kaiju number eight. But the fact that he’s obviously absorbed Kaiju number two here uh or the powers from Kaiju number two via director Shino Mia, right? Um it uh has given him even more confidence, you know, despite how he tries to use like a last move in an effort to flee from the scene here and he kind of like lets this huge nuke go off, right? Like and they’re both still standing and I’m like, yeah, they you can’t get rid of them that easy. So I I feel like Kaiju number nine is, you know, still a bit cocky in some regards. Yeah. um especially again towards uh Captain Natamy. But it’s it’s an interesting premise to kind of set forward because of what he says to them the next time you see me, right? That that line is uh for boating. So it’s I I think that line while it’s foroding overshadows something even more important in this episode that is set up in this scene is followed up on later. But um no, one of the main what I think is a good thing about this episode is that uh I was I don’t want to say bored, bored is not the right word, but I was unenthused with the continuation of the fight because the fight it’s been going on for a while now, several episodes long, and it is time for reprieve. And I was worried that this was going to extend it uh you know more than than necessary, but no, we only have a few minutes of a fight at the beginning. Then it gets into okay, back to world building and life and and character and uh because there’s nothing worse than a shownen anime that doesn’t know when to stop the action. Yeah, exactly. And take a breath. Right. I was worried we were headed in that direction. And I said, I believe it was last week or maybe it was a week before last when Kofka was uh he made that statement, you know, now that I’ve found the beast within me, I’m even more powerful than last time. I was like, oh, that means we about to get a training arc, baby, in this episode. He said it last week, Leon. Yeah. [ __ ] training arc starts this week. And that baby, because I love me a good training arc and shown in anime. Mhm. I think the uh the the one thing that you know we noticed it in in season one um with the writing for for how they characterized um number nine and it’s still consistent that it’s it’s almost like he can’t think ahead and plan. It’s that he he learns a thing and then you can never do that again. It’s like it’s like you know the what’s the easiest way to become an expert? um do everything wrong but only once. Don’t repeat yourself, right? That’s not the fastest way, but it’s it’s the easiest. Um and it seems like that’s kind of his mode and it’s why, you know, at times he sounds arrogant. I don’t think he realizes what he doesn’t know until he’s learned it through combat or something and then he just knows that again. um because he’s actually surprised about his own um healing and rejection of Kaiju number two and and that his uh armored uh skin isn’t uh at full power. Surprised when he’s disarmed in this. Right. Right. And again, it’s because of thing that that he just hasn’t it hasn’t encountered where where it’s been an attack that is that has interrupted that. And but I can assure you that’s not going to happen next time, right? That’s there’s always a consistency there. But it’s it’s again it goes back to to nine is is really written in kind of this alien mentality and they’re very they’re very good at at maintaining that. Um he doesn’t he doesn’t seem to break that and suddenly know things he shouldn’t know or or you know become more capable than he should. Yeah. I like what’s Ned here. Uh probably because number nine’s core is always somewhere else. Yeah. Yeah. Um he is diabolical. He is like he um always has a backup plan. Yeah, he has a backup plan upon a backup plan upon a backup plan. So, um but he’s always um ahead of the game. Like he he’s like he scouts. He does a lot of scouting. He he knows what to expect from a lot of these uh defense core um fighters. So like uh Right. But he can’t really anticipate, right? It’s it’s it’s not like okay the this person has these powers in general and I can judge their capabilities and so they may pull this sneaky attack on me. It’s almost like everything he does is literal. Um and and again he has to experience it to really to to pick up on it, right? Even if it’s like an attack on something else, as long as he sees the attack, then then he can kind of figure that out and and he understands like the suite of attacks uh that people can do. But there’s always they can always surprise him um with something new, you know, novelty he doesn’t do well with. Well, you you phrased that perfectly like he learns from his mistakes only once. So like even when uh Gen like comes down with the huge blade into his top of his head there and getting ready to shoot again, he’s just like, I figured you would do that. And he’s he’s already anticipating that. Like he’s anticipating that move, right? He played that once. Yeah. Playing that again. Yeah. Yeah. So he has a defense for that, right? So it may not be the best defense, but he knows how to like survive. Yeah. And the problem is that they they haven’t been able to kill him because you you would think that that could that could stop him in some way, right? Unless again, as as Chad mentioned that that his real core is somewhere else, which means it’s he’s always sending these bodies out and every time he learns that he can he can keep the knowledge even if he risks the body. Um, blue color. You got anything you want to Yeah. Jay Walt, you know said I love the music. Listen to you guys. Uh, the intro starts at one one minute and 9 seconds in. That first minute if you listen when Kafka says he’s give the director back. It sounds like they’re defeist. Like they’ve been they’ve lost an ally and it’s got this like uh violin opera like just slow pace to it and like and they’re they’re fighting. They’re fighting but like they’ve they’re reeling from losing a battle. But the first minute, that entire soundtrack just paints a picture of where these characters are at right now after losing a director. Like there’s it just sounds like there’s no hope of getting him back and and the music is reflecting that tone right now. Yeah. They’re in the denial stage of grieving. Yeah. Yeah. The soundtrack is kicking too, man. Yeah. It’s like they’re in um they’re in shock that this could happen, right? Like you they Yeah. were totally caught off guard. Didn’t think that, you know, number nine had planned this far. And I think we meant mentioned this last week where Kaij number nine is playing like 60 chess with them, right? Like like they might be playing chess, but they’re they’re very far behind in terms of the strategy. And you know, if any if anyone was actually ignorant, it was the defense force because they highly underestimated what he was capable of. you know, they knew that he could take and mimic human form, but they didn’t even appear to check their own personnel, you know? And I feel like if that was, you know, um I say maybe other intelligence, right? Like you would you would tend to check to see, let’s just check everyone that we have because maybe there’s an unknown guy that pops in there. we’ve, you know, it’s kind of happened in other shows and whatnot, but um and sure enough, it’s a guy right behind the director. So, it’s uh it’s unfortunate that they got beat with their own uh ignorance. And something Leon said, but not just the anime trope, but everyone on the panel and watching is that I would say Kafka is a lot stronger than number nine, but power is not always determined by your big how big your muscles are, how dangerous you are, your power core. Nine is like objectively a lot more weaker than Kafka, but nine is [ __ ] terrifying because he’s playing 60 chess. He’s a menace, dude. He’s he is a legit menace. Well, he has he has a real um advantage information wise and in and in intel wise as to how they do that. They’re they’re operating with incomplete information and kind of having to learn on the fly. He’s had the benefit of learning for quite a while. I uh I love this part where you’re going through the fog, the the smoke and then his body lower half just drops into the ground. It’s like a juicy comment yet. So when Naomi cuts off his arm, he says number eight, now is our opening. Um and there’s a there’s a importance to that that that matters later. So I I just want to point out that that line is said what what repeat that again, Leo. When when when Kaiju number nine loses his right arm, Nurmy says number eight, now’s our chance. Right. So basically we can we team up and and knock this guy. So I there’s a point that comes up later why that line is important. I was wondering if other people picked up on it. So I’ll bring it when it comes up. I just wanted to point out that that line was stated since we didn’t actually cover it when the armed tri was happening. Um, and this is a part two which I found weird is like he he’s like, “Oh, I should have done this earlier. I could have done this from the from the beginning.” And he splits his head into two and starts firing off uh these kind of black um I don’t know what you would atomic Yeah. But he’s already done his pine cone nuclear explosion and now it’s he said let me just throw a couple of black holes in here. grab some of that. Yeah. Yeah. And then he retreats and he’s just like, if uh I if I stuck around, I would I would have lost. And so he takes off. And then we see the aftermath. So like everything moving forward is all about, you know, the loss of the director, uh cleanup, um everyone trying to figure out what’s the next move, um and what to do with Kaiju number eight. So, moving forward here, we get uh obviously Kofka emotionally upset um as he grabbed uh Shin Shinya. She she was um saved by him because she would have been blasted. Yeah. Uh and then you had uh position homie. Pardon me. So was Lil’s position homie from the previous episode. He would also say that point to show him also protecting little that’s why that’s why nine splits into two because he realizes oh if I shoot at these defenseless people these guys will go defend them which allows me to escape. That’s why he said I should have done that in the first place. But I love the fact that he he switches to the director’s space when Yeah. telling them uh you know when I come back then the schedule will rule and that’s what really sets off uh a cop. This was I thought this was a nice this was a beautiful scene too just having an empty office with the sunlight coming through. I was like that’s a nice added touch even though it’s like you know the supposed death of the director. Um it it it’s a nice added touch and they’re showing the the the emptiness, you know, him being gone. It’s the his absence. It’s felt. Yeah. Jay’s me in this season. I’m not sure if you guys noticed it, but I felt two episodes ago now that Kafka was kind of basically controlling his Kaijun. You notice when he’s deowering the way it’s just like it’s a glass shards falling off his body and like these blue shards. Yeah. I like I just didn’t notice it in season one the way he’s doing it now. They weren’t doing it that way in season one. It’s it’s part of their their upping the game in the animation season two. Yeah. All right. I I don’t think it’s part of upping the game in the animation season 2. I think it’s a visual cue to how far he’s progressed with the control over his power. No, because he was having the he was doing that when he was trying to to turn into Kachin number and he kept failing. Okay. It would it would start on him and it would just like shatter and fall off of him. It’s a it’s a change in animation between season one and season two. Yeah. I’m glad someone’s noticed. Every time he he depowers, it’s so visually just cool. Just seeing like his armor come off his body. Yeah. It just flakes off and dust turns into dust. Yeah. Um here we see the whole defense corps uh at the memorial here for the director. Um Nurumi is now the lead man. Uh and we get a little bit of a flashback uh with him getting information from the director just stating that it’s on you. I need you to lead these men. Um, the flashbacks in this episode were done, I thought, really well. Uh, we we got Kofka. He’s just another soldier in the Defense Corps. Uh, even though he’s like pretty much the most powerful of all of them there. And then we have like an empty space where Kikaru should have been and she didn’t show up to the memorial, which we’ll get to right here as um, Narumi. Uh this is the kind of the flashback of you know him taking on I don’t know what kaiju with this is because like because he has the uh kaiju number two gauntlets on already. So like is or is it just a it’s like a regular kaiju. It’s not regular kaiju. Yeah. It’s not numbered or anything like that, but yeah, it just I mean I to your point Gu like I love the display of of Naromi’s memory in this like seeing you know someone that he idolized as a young director and how how much of a goat he was at that time at that young age you know guys you know one shot in Kaijud’s from uh like death from above right and then sticking that landing and what’s up? You know, it’s it’s just guy was a badass and and I and that’s kind of like what all these people are remembering him to be is just like such a force to be reckoned with. The the the person that that led the defense force, the entire defense force um against the Kaijus, right? And it wasn’t just him, but you know, to to think about too, it was also his wife. You know, they were an insane duo. And we’ll get more to his wife in the later episodes, but um it’s just something to think about, right? Like he as as as powerful as he was with the the number two gauntlets, like um she was also a complete force to be reckoned with as well, which again you like you you’ve got two unstoppable people. It’s like the Kaiju didn’t know how to com combat with them, which is almost why like the Kaiju’s had to evolve and why I think Kaiju number nine has become such an absolute like brick wall for them to actually proceed with being able to legitimately stop them or slow them down, right? So, it’s uh I don’t know, just interesting interesting to think about. Yeah. Yeah. And it goes to the um what the director was saying about the uh the idea that you know you have to you have to build up the next generation because you know much like when his wife died that was you know essentially their top um you know fighter against Kaiju. So then he does it and he becomes the director and all that. But you know there were generations before that as well that that trained them up. And that’s it’s kind of that cycle of everybody kind of looks at whoever you know the the the top of the food chain is and goes oh they’ll be here forever. Nope. uh time marches on and uh yeah, everybody else better be getting trained up and part of um being in charge is making sure that you’ve got people that are coming up to to be able to replace you at some point. Um we do have $2 from Graph Web and he expects us to do something. Uh, for [ __ ] sake, hashtag cancel. [Music] Oh, boy. We all can’t be the choir from Alien Earth, guys. I don’t know what to expect. Sounded like a bunch of alleycats, man. I just All right. Um, getting back to Sorry, my goer flared up. I didn’t realize what was going on. Um yeah, Nurmy has this flashback um as he’s you know thinking of uh director uh Shinamia. Uh there’s the empty spot and then he arrives to the office and he sees Kikaru crying at the desk. This was a another good moment in in this episode where he was pretty much upset like you were missing. You should have been there. uh why why didn’t you show up? Uh and she’s like, I want to be stronger. I want you to make me stronger. And he basically tells Well, we see the fish, which was interesting. Um he’s basically makes a deal with her like, “If I’m going to do this, you you’re going to have to show me what you have. You have to go above and beyond. But if you fail, you’re gonna have to uh I forget what he says, like uh uh apologize for not showing up to the memorial. He’ll punish you. He’ll punish Yeah. punish Yeah. punish you for not showing up to memorial. So yeah, it was a good scene. I enjoyed this scene. Like um it’s kind of like that cycle. Her mother was like that, her father was like that. And now you see, you know, Kikaroo uh doing the same thing of going through a death of a loved one and putting like going through the emotions, but then it’s all right, it’s time to get to business and become the strongest. And he says, I can make you the strongest one of all of them besides me. Yeah. And which Yeah. Because you’re a woman. [Laughter] Yeah. You know, the crazy thing too is like she’s lost both parents to Kaijus, you know, and so obviously like the the emotional toll has uh doubled up, but at the same time there should be a bit of a a shell for her to move on because it’s like she wasn’t as close with her father as she was her mother, right? U because her father as we talked about in you know previous episodes like who he had to be after his wife passes away like he can’t be I think you were talking about a good one where he can’t be the that that that father figure like he has to love step away right yeah the unconditional additional love is ceases to to exist and uh but yet she still mourns for him because at the end of the day it’s still her father you know it’s still the director and and right as He got that or she got that praise from him that he that she was looking for for for years, you know, especially with her joining the fh first division in in defense force like that he’s like garnishing to be the best of the best. Well, I mean it’s one because I I wasn’t expecting this show to make Shinamia here um like an analogy for what’s happening in Palestine. If you think about it, like she was she was orphaned by Thai Jews. [Laughter] It was nice YouTube. Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice, um the so the the well the there’s another aspect to that because remember she she blames herself for um for her mother’s death because she promised that uh she would protect her, right? and and then she’s, you know, it’s one thing to go, okay, you’re a kid, you have that, but she surely she got a family and uh the but now she’s actually part of the defense force and talented and was on the battlefield and blames herself for not saving her father. So, it’s not just she lost two parents, she holds herself responsible for their loss. Yeah. Right. That’s that’s an extra weight that that uh is pretty tough. Yeah. Not being fast enough. And talk about emotional weight because people say, you know, dub versus sub, but this entire sequence, Jay, this it’s there’s no music. It’s just two voice actors and like I mean, you can hear it’s said I like the I like the dub. The voice actors are giving their all because it’s a fiveminute sequence just talking. It’s directed. This episode’s directed very well. It’s done exceptionally well. And then we get uh you know Kafka you know uh making kind of like his own you know I guess vow to you know get revenge. But then we we notice that he has uh this on his hand and it and then we learn later on that he um is gradually turning into the kaiju permanently. So like he’s uh this is what we get here and then like he has to wear the glove and then uh we get this part right here. Um which I I forgot about this part. I was going to mentioned the part where they were doing the CT scan the an the analytics of an analysis. Holy [ __ ] Gucci’s kicking hard analysis of him of him after the fight. With what? Yeah. Anal assists. Those anal assists, man. I mean, they bad. I thought Jason said I thought Jason said vanilla assist. Gucci kicks in and when it does, it kicks in hard right in the ass. Holy [ __ ] Analis. Oh, dude. I can’t believe the alcohol [ __ ] That’s much much better. That’s why that’s why you manscape your Gucci contact Blue. Holy s next time, Bobby. Help me out this washing machine. Step Kaiu. Oh boy. Hello, house lady. I am repair man. Anyho, uh, we’re about to get a montage. Um, oh [ __ ] Uh, yeah, this is another good moment here where, uh, Shinamia, you know, he always has something to give more information. Even when he’s dead, he’s given more information to I think his name is Tachi. So, Itachi just is like, “Oh, Shinamina, even when you’re dead, you’re giving me more work.” Yeah. So, like he’s and he gives it like a nice little laugh, you know, or smile, I should say. Um, which I thought was cool. But, um, what we what we don’t know is uh what’s inside or what he’s looking at. Um, which we find out at the end of the episode, which is I was wrong about I thought it was going to be something different. Well, I was technically that is that is different. What he’s what he’s looking at right here is different than the other thing, you know, did he address the end of the episode? Yeah. Oh, so maybe I’m not wrong yet. No, no, no. Yeah, he’s looking at a different one. I’m thinking of Heo. He’s looking at the other one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. Yes. Um, my bad. Yeah, you’re right. Notes I was say not funny. I I I watched it. I mean, I watch him in both like English and Japanese. Um, but yeah, he says like you always you always leave with your dirty work. Yeah, with the dirty work. So, yeah. ISIS. Is that a new group up in the Middle East? Yeah. No, I I had been watching these specifically season one, both uh English and and in Japanese. Here, I’ve fallen off. I’ve only really been listening to the English because I’ I’ve multitasking. So, uh, yeah, I need to get back to watching the Japanese versions as well. It’s It’s honestly I I I like it in both. I I don’t think the English dub is is with this anime is bad, honestly. Um, I think they’ve got good inflections like in their delivery, especially for all of our main characters, you know? It’s too late. I’ve been watching subs the whole time. I’ve gotten used to the voices. I’m not switching now. Oh, yeah. I want to see more of this, bro. Sheena Nome or whatever her name is. She’s a few lines in this, but I like this [ __ ] She’s a Dude, she’s I mean, there was a bit of a lesbian hint at at one point there. It was like, oh, oh, it’s the lick it’s the lick lips. Uh, yeah. After she says she’s coming up from below, I was like, oh, hey, all right. Well, we haven’t touched we haven’t touched on the animation and this is where I like this is a perfect spot because I noticed that when I watch it, this is a perfect example of 2D put on to your 3D image right there and it’s like because you could just tell like it’s just so obviously clear. Um, what did you think of the animation? They’re good in this episode cuz they Oh, they uh I mean I mean they have some Yeah, they do they do some real work at the beginning and then they’re very clearly taking it taking it uh very easy on uh on on doing the animation right now. um you know for the training and all that um you know again you got to average out the budget somehow but um I think you know there’s there’s very little action so just dropping it um and even uh even the backgrounds they kind of backed off on the details uh that that they had been doing before. Yeah. Uh and yeah they they they definitely picked their spots. Uh this is the uh softball team. I mean the uh the couple you were talking about when she was making that comment earlier about uh I think she made a comment like this is now this is a girl I can get behind or something like that. No, she says she says uh they have it’s like I haven’t I haven’t had someone come up from below uh in a long time and then licked her lips and I was like oh it’s basically what they’re trying to say is that like a lower ranked person has challenged her but the language they used was not what that really licked her lip the English says is lesbianish but the dialogue so along lines of uh When it’s that when um when a rookie uh when a rookie wants to come me to full force, I get all tingly and then like licks. Yeah, that’s right. That’s what it was. It’s a young Deb that’s getting introduced. I think she she might have said analyst, too. I got But yeah, the the sub is uh is is also very sus because it’s someone from below and uh and then she licks her lips and I was like, “Oh, okay.” Yeah. Um, and then of course we got again this whole sequence is great. Yeah. Go ahead, Chris. Go ahead. The D Goodwin kick. Yeah. Everything leading up to that and then like first of all, this is a great character moment for him because Gins are like a month. You have a month. I can tell because that’s how long it’s gonna take me to beat this video game. This very end character. I mean I I love this aspect of his character. Uh it’s him being like cold, calculating, but he’s also he knows this is the way to get under her skin to trivialize it to this regard. Then we got homie coming in here. Comedy moment. I love it. The comedy moments like this again. We we’ve already gone through like four episodes of big battles and [ __ ] Little moments that break the tension. I see I can see Jay doing this to Leon holding his [ __ ] PS and his arms crossed too. Like just it’s like he’s so light. I don’t even have to get in a position to kick. I can just goose step your ass out of this chair. Goostepping. But it’s funny when he says like, “It’s going to take me a month to beat this game.” And I’m like, “Homie, should not take you a month to beat this game.” Like he just I I loyally think he actually sucks at video games, but he’s like an amazing top tier fighter, right? Like, yeah, he’s just not good at video games. Well, he doesn’t have any money to buy the in-game transactions because he spent all on Amazon. So yeah, he can’t pay to win. Yeah. I mean, I remember a while back um somebody was on Stern could have been Axel or somebody just talking about like the top rock bands were like we can’t play Guitar Hero because it’s like that that whole guitar and stuff the plastic. It’s not real guitar, man. It’s like the top guitar. So like this [ __ ] sucks. It’s it’s a different I It’s nothing like playing a guitar. Yeah. Yeah. I was on Magic Guitar Hero. Then I got you got a guitar and started learning to play when I was 16. I’ve never been able to go back. Never. I can’t. I’ve seen videos with actual military vets. They’re like, “Man, this Call of Duty game, it’s it’s Yeah. Holding a controller is not holding an actual gun.” Yeah. So many kids on on on PlayStation. Oh my god. Like, I’m just like in the military. Again, you might be able to beat my ass in Street Fighter. I’m not sure on the street you’re going to have quite the same results. Um I just want to take a moment and just like I just need to, you know, just quickly Let’s see. Let me just do this quickly. Let’s like uh Yes. Oh, I can’t Oh, I can’t do that. Interesting. Okay. Uh, no. Why won’t it let me do that? That’s interesting. I’m I’m I’m afraid of what you’re actually trying to do right now. Free candy. Oh, what? Streamer has changed on me. I’m shocked. How unusual. Yeah, that’s weird. Okay, they change the layout. Yeah, it’s just it’s just I can’t get like I want this. Dodgers win. Dodgers win. Yeah. I was like, “What are you fist pumping about?” I’m like, “The Dodgers win. They’re into they’re they’re the advanced.” So, had to had to sneak that in. Uh, anyway, um, back to this. This is where we’re talking about the detail with like the excellent work. Um, this is beautiful stuff. You have like how many artists working on this? Um, doing the painting and everything like that. Um, and the perspective, everything’s done perfect here. See, that’s why I don’t know. Like, so I wanted to I wanted to ask when it came up a minute ago when um Goen says that, you know, that they’re taking a back seat and and minimizing on the details. And I was thinking based on what I remember from this episode when I saw I don’t think they are. I think that’s just like that’s a cold, you know, institutionalized military building that they were in when training. So, there’s not supposed to be a lot of detail. The lack of detail is what makes it more regiment. There’s a reason they’re fogging it. go back and look at it and you see that they’re they’re doing blur on it and it’s to hide Yeah. that they’re not going full detail. You also see areas where they’re just laying down um like foliage that they already have in their library um to construct the the scene. Mhm. Yeah, it it is kind of like it gives you that that that blur in the background and but it’s also the the angle that it’s shot at too to to cause that blur which a great effect but it’s right. But it’s also there’s a reason you do it. It’s it’s also why it’s also why Ridley Scott loves putting smoke on set. That’s right. Um no Philly cheesecake cheese steak tonight. Uh sorry. Not really. Um yeah. Yeah. And then this part where we see, you know, Kofka returning to his apartment, you know, he’s just cleaning uh going back cuz he they mentioned this is the part where they mentioned that he doesn’t have much time left. He has like a few hours. But that’s what they’re saying um in this scene here that he’s transforming into a kaiju. Like if he next time he changes into it that he could be permanent. So yeah. Well, not necessarily next time unless it was different in the Japanese version. In the English dub, they were saying that if he continues to transform, eventually there will come a time where he can’t transform back. Is it different in the Japanese? No, they it’s what they say. They suspect it. They’re not they’re not sure. But what they are seeing is that he’s crossing over. The reason he doesn’t have time is because um they have they have people watching him and basically they’re letting him off base for a little bit. It’s supervised. Yeah, he does say he has like a few hours like to you you never know. Like it’s it’s they don’t know the exact timing of it. Yeah. No, they say they say it’s it’s it’s a it’s during a transformation, right? So it’s a few hours they’re letting him leave base for a few hours to take the personal stuff. Yeah. It’s it’s I think it’s similar to uh to the director where you know using the the the suit um drains his life, but Kopka is more that he’s starting to become the kaiju. Yeah, of course, they could be wrong. I mean, this is they’re also their first time encountering a kaiju that can turn human and vice versa. I think that since since I don’t know his fan theory, I think that’s going to be the big twist is that, you know, near the end of it, he will be able to absorb Kaiju number nine, which of course had the metamorphing ability, and he’ll be able to revert. We think it’s going to be permanent. He’s a Kaiju forever, but he absorbs number nine. He can revert back to human just like how Kaiju number nine can mimic humans. That’s the the going to be how they get out of that fix and give the happy ending. Nah, jokes’s on you. Kofka was always a sleeper agent Kaiju and uh they just activated him. He was an analyst. He was an um analyzing it all. Yeah. Yeah. Um here’s another shot. Um like they do again they’re they’re going lower, you know, they’re not they’re not putting real detail in the buildings, the window treatments, stuff like that. That’s but here this scene like this whole sequence is like humanizing everything before you know showing him as a human uh just in like you could tell like there must go back to simpler times. Yeah. He wants to you know go back and well okay go back and be Japanese. Okay. Uh, speaking of anal sis, anal, those lips. [Laughter] And yeah, he goes back to the guys where the cleanup crew and they’re talking about the shells of the ants and they having a hard time trying to, you know, chainsaw through and it’s like heating up the blades. They’re they’re almost going to be worn out. So glad you got that shot, Jay. Yeah, a lot of I don’t know. This is kind of easy work. Easy work really. Like it’s it looks it looks busy. It looks like it would like a It’s a lot of work, but really it’s not. Yeah, there’s a lot of busyiness in there. You just, you know, give it give it hints of of shading and you’ll just your brain will kind of fill in the rest. And you can see like that splatter effect is is not actually laid on the the the graphics for the buildings. It’s just a sheet. So, yeah, this whole this whole sequence is just him going back and visiting everyone before he actually has prepares to take on um Kaiju number nine and in training and, uh possibly becoming a Kaiju forever. And so, um this is kind of that human moment for him, you know. I thought it was I thought it was well done. I thought it was well directed. I think this whole episode’s well done because of this. Whether it be whether it be Gin playing video games while being snarky, whether it be Shinamia training because even on her downtime, that’s what she does. Obviously, there’s the added effect that her father is now dead, but like that’s what she’d be doing anyway. Kafka getting his last moments of freedom. I mean, I action shownen and and and stuff like this only work if you’ve got these, you know, bursts of human moments to justify why the stakes of the action are so high. And that’s why I think it’s uh uh that’s why these sorts of episodes and these sorts of moments are are my favorite. Like it I I and this might just be me, you know, the way I view anime. Not everyone has to agree with this, but I I couldn’t give a [ __ ] less how flu fluid and beautiful the animation is um in in some of the best action scenes and boss fights and whatnot. If I’m not getting stuff like this, I would rather see this even in lower res, less, you know, frames, stuff like that, because this is where the the heart of these kinds of shows are for me. Yeah. I mean, you should always go for per for plot and characterization and story over anything else. I’m looking at you, Tron Horse. Um but the the one of the reasons that he’s he’s kind of compelled to to go here is that um he’s he knows that he’s starting to to turn kaiju. And so, you know, it’s it’s kind of grounding him to go back to the the, you know, what he was before all of that happened and just hang out with them, right? The demands aren’t there and all that, but it it it kind of reinforces no, I’m still the same guy I was. The, you know, the people that I knew working here, uh, they know me and I can still do all the stuff that I was good at, you know, before. And so, you know, there’s a there’s kind of a double reason, um, for this visit. And and again, it makes sense. It’s good writing. And the other thing, too, is like these guys um they they I don’t want to say hate their job, but it’s a miserable job. Like he mentions like now I’m on intestine duty and all that kind of stuff, but this individual here, and I forget his name, but like he’s just like, “We’re going to continue cleaning up for these guys are risking their lives to take on these Kaiju. They’re going to take out Kaiju number nine.” And because like the one individual has mentioned like he should get out while he can. he’s just to leave town. Um referring to Kofka uh not knowing that he’s actually Kaiju number eight. But like it it’s interesting how it it like his visit kind of inspires a few of them like he’s in the low rung of the ladder at at at the um at the defense force. So they think and he’s sticking it out and and fighting for them to have their you know to live their lives. and they’re they’re respecting that and they’re like, you know what, we’re going to do we’re going to clean up at this matter what is being thrown at us. We’re just going to continue to do our job in support of them, which I thought was another added nice nicely added touch. Yeah. I mean, you have the one guy that doubts, you know, and and and so he’s like, “Maybe we should all get out of here.” By the way, you have a daughter is getting married soon. And that’s when he’s like, “Shut the [ __ ] up.” I’m not, you know, that that and yeah, I think there’s there’s, you know, because this is from from the ground level. Um, I’m not sure that they’ve seen anything quite like this, you know, threat wise and that that the threats just keep getting worse. Um, you know, some of them are looking around and oh, by the way, you just lost the director. Um, you know, the the Superman has left the building, ladies and gentlemen. And so, you know, you doubt a bit, but there’s, you know, this guy who’s like, “Nah, they’ll they’ll take care of it, right?” And and so we’re going to be here to do our jobs as well. Yeah. Yeah. Also, I like I love people that I do it myself when I can. Like, don’t forget where you came from. He doesn’t by any means have these are his friends. He could the the wrong people could say, “Oh, he’s better than them. He’s higher than him.” He’s just as blue collar as they are and he remembers where he came from. And like just Yeah. Just him him just being normal for five minutes sometimes that’s what you need. Yeah. And remember how how how much he recognized that this was an important job when he was doing it. You know yeah he wanted to be in the defense forces but you know they’re disposing of these things and so they’re doing their part um to you know to to take care of the city and and all that. And so you know you got to recognize everybody at every level uh who’s who’s in on it. I’m doing my part. I was thinking the same thing. I was waiting for us. Would you like to know more? Yes. Um, and here we have, you know, like Kafta reflecting on everything and realizing, you know, there’s not much time left, but he’s still going to fight the fight. Um, and then we have Nurammy show up and says, I’m just going to get to the point. you you’re basically kicked off the defense core, but uh I’m going to let you fight with me alongside me pretty much was what he’s saying. And um going to Yeah, yeah, cuz I need you to take on Kaiju number nine. No. No. Okay. See, there it is. This is why that line earlier is so important. Yeah. He says, “I need you Kafka.” This is the first time since his inception Yeah. He’s used his name. He’s even in human form. He has called him number eight. He has been callous. He’s like whatever. If you’re useless to me and think of the first time they met and he’s in human form. He calls him number eight. Then says I don’t even want you. If I had my way, I just make you into a [ __ ] weapon. And now after everything they’ve gone through together after being on that battlefield together, he calls him by name. This is the most important in my opinion. This is so far the most important moment in the entire second season. Yeah. So far. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I it is it is like maybe from character uh relationship wise or whatever. I mean the the but but this was um Narumi’s kind of rules from the B jump. He doesn’t care what the hell you do, you know, otherwise but as long as you perform on the battlefield and do do what’s required then uh then he’ll give you respect and and you know allow you to do that. And that’s what that’s what Copa has done. Yeah. Good se great scenes. Uh, and basically, you know, you help us Kofka Hibino. That’s the line you were talking about, Leon, right there. And he looks him straight in the eyes and we get that like that moment of like, yeah, even earlier on the battlefield like after he slices off number nine’s arm, he says number eight, I made an opening. Yeah, that’s I mean again, here we are 20 minutes later. That line should seem inconsequential because I mean that’s what he is. Kajjun race call. Uh 20 minutes later, the dust is settled. Name drop. Like, oh, I I love this moment. I I [ __ ] loved this moment. Well, the the other thing here, too, is like we never really see Narumi’s eyes except in battle. You don’t like during conversations. Yeah, he’s always got the bangs. He’s always got the bangs covering. And this is where you see him looking eye to eye like this is how serious he is with this moment. Uh yeah, the way he says it, you know, we’re the only ones who know what we’re up against because you were there with me and you saw what happened firstand and there and he says a good deal and he’s this is the training montage part where we get into and then we get Hoso arriving and he shows up and we see this Kaiju in a container. Boom boom boom. Kaiju number 10. Kron. Yeah. And personally, Kosho is Hashel is one of my favorites. Um, and we’re kind of that’s basically where we end off for this episode. So, great. I didn’t realize that was a different containment unit than the one shown earlier in the episode. So, it’s interesting that we still have another containment unit with a different monster, what I assume is, you know, Kaiju number one or number zero or something. Um, oh, the one that uh that the director uh handed off to somebody. Yeah, that Yeah, that was I thought this was that and then Nick was like, “No, no, this is a different one.” I was like, “No, it’s a different um Yeah, I have my own suspicions for what’s in the uh in the one that the director handed off.” I’m Yeah, I was going to say I’m I’m kind of curious to see what you guys think it is. Obviously, um I forgot when you mentioned the word. Yeah, I forgot. And I’m like, “Oh, no, that’s right. It’s Yeah. Uh, did you guys expect to see Kaiju number 10 at the end there? No, but I I was expecting that that um they were going to reveal um what the what the director had in the uh in the other tank, but they didn’t. Yeah. Tank was kind of a subversion of my expectations the of what they were going to show because they were like, “No, actually we’re going to show you something else that you didn’t know about.” I was like, “Oh, that’s nice.” Okay, thanks. Yeah, I I sort of did and sort and didn’t. And by that I mean I didn’t expect it this episode. I remember a a long time ago. I I can’t remember. Yeah, it was during season one. It was after, you know, they they, you know, killed Kaiju number 10. Uh it was Yeah. Yeah. Because when they’re talking about the Kaiju weapons, the Kaiju body parts. I was like, “Ah, [ __ ] 10 was numbered. He could have made a weapon.” And it was like, it was a passing thought. And so for them to bring it back all this time later, I was like, “Oh, they did do something with that. All right.” Hey, like I was not expecting them to whatsoever. Uh Leon, give us your thoughts on tonight’s episode. What did you think? Uh like I said, I think at least from a character perspective that tonight’s episode is probably the most important thus far of season 2. I uh I I get what you guys are pointing out with the animation flaws and whatnot, but I uh without trying to sound rude about I I don’t care. This is episodes like these are the reason I watch the show. And I think episodes like these are what separates this from a lot of modern honestly shownen slop. Um, so yeah, I I I can’t wait to see more. I think that we’re about to go into a training arc, which by God, I love me a good training arc. And uh I I really hope that this episode was indicative of us seeing more of the third division because we are have seen a distinct lack of them so far this season. And I I want to see more. Nick, oh my friend Leon. Yeah. Uh, well, I wouldn’t even say it’s animation flaws. I would just say it’s purposely Yeah. They’re just budgeting their effort. Exactly. Budgeting their like you don’t you don’t waste time on things that you don’t need to, you know, when you have a limitation. It’s not that um so obviously you’ve got a limited budget. You have to allocate properly. So I I think they are allocating their budget properly. But because of that, it’s going to lead to something that is it’s fine if it’s lower quality because, you know, that means they’re allocating properly. There’s some things that are um you know, forgivable. Uh it just makes sense to to uh be less less on top of. Uh Blue Color, your thoughts? Yeah, just said good episode, great music. Um and I know like Leon watches more anime than I do. I guess people when they they say the term filler episode, everyone has a different version of what filler is. I would not call it a filler. It’s just definitely slower. It’s just slower because well, some people just want non-stop action, but as Leon said earlier, the action doesn’t really matter if you don’t care about the characters and there’s got to be stakes. And I’m also curious what what this Kaiju number 10 is going to bring to the table now because we don’t know what this thing is. Well, the thing a beautiful thing about this episode is like you got to let them breathe. They just experienced the death of the director. They have destruction throughout the city that again they have to repair. Uh they’ve they got a bunch of wounded, you know, soldiers again. Uh you got Kikaroo losing another significant family member. Uh so you got to you got to like let that soak in and play that out. And I think the way they went about it was perfect. Uh because then the next episode kicks right into all right, we’ve had our time to to mourn and to, you know, sort things out. It’s time to because we got to prepare ourselves for for war here. So, um good one, sir. Your thoughts? Yeah, I think that um you know, the reason that that these kinds of episodes work, especially after, you know, big uh costly battle is you have to reestablish the stakes. Um you know, that the world has changed, the the characters are dealing with a new reality and and and loss and and you know, maybe some discovery of their their limitations. And you have to um have them absorb that and and the audience has to kind of see those consequences and see them build up so that the next time that there’s a fight, a you’ve got you’ve got greater stakes but also greater expectations for for what’s going to happen. If it’s just um here’s my action all the time. Um there’s no story. and you’re just again you’re watching a a cool screen saver with some noises um going on and the you know the the choice of of what they’re doing in animation that’s exactly what you expect them to do. Um you again you have a limited budget um and and limited manpower and so you spend your resources wisely. Um, you know, as we saw like in in the uh in the previous episode. Oh, they were they they had got out the wallet on that one. Um, you know, and and and so, you know, here’s where you kind of save it up a bit. And we saw it all through season one as well. Um, you know, where they would save where they could and, you know, we saw like one where where it really dropped down um frame rates and detail and, you know, oh, there’s just somebody standing there, you know, in in the crowd. there’s no movement or whatever. It’s like, uhhuh, they’re getting ready to hit us with something. Um, you know, because they’re they’re having to save it up to spend it elsewhere. Um, I think the the I I’m I’m wondering how how well and how long they can sustain. um you know, unlike a lot of animes that go hundreds of episodes, I don’t think that this can work um doing that because you can’t just, oh, I’m going build the person. Oh, they tripped and fell down. Okay, we’re going to fix that and now here come the stakes again, right? Um you know, you you have to in order to have stakes, you have to have risk. You have to be able to lose characters. And if you’re constantly cycling them through, then um you just stop becoming attached to them and then you’re just waiting for for a big thing to happen. Um, I’ll be interested to see how the the training goes and how much um we explore the um the other platoon leaders um you know that uh Shinmiro is going to have to um combat in order to um you know reach the level that she can challenge Numi. Um and she’s got a month because he’s a bit [ __ ] at games and he can’t uh buy microtransactions anymore. So, you got that going forward. Um, thank you, Goodwin. Uh, Nick, your thoughts and then we’ll close this out. Yeah, it’s a it’s a good episode and I I agree with what Leon Blue and and Goodwin said. Um, collectively I think you know just looking at this episode um and not basing off of what I know that exists beyond uh till the till the finish you have a lot of um important uh facets of the characters here again like with what Narumi uh says to Kofka calling him by name but letting him understand where we’re at that he can’t do this without him, but worst case if the worst worst case scenario happens, um, then he won’t hesitate to put to put him down. Um, but I also think because of what’s what’s happened, the stakes have have risen significantly and, you know, due to the director’s um, demise. But uh I think with Shinomia, she also again as I mentioned earlier u has now lost another parent. So it’s it’s forcing her to to exist beyond uh whatever capabilities she thought she could she could reach. And you know, from what we’ve seen Narumi do and uh his output levels, if you could just contemplate what she could potentially get to at that point, again, if she’s going to be a number two behind him being number one, then there’s um again, there’s an expectation that they’re setting there’s this precedence of of her um living up to her parents ideals and and following that name because it that name does have a reputation behind it. She’s already using a kaiju numbered weapon, right, with that giant axe that she has. So, it’s um again, there’s there’s a lot that’s been building up with this, but I do enjoy the the lower view, the lower level view of Kafka seeing his old bodies. Again, it’s it’s cuz it’s not just, oh, well, Kafka has to fight and Kofka has to go through this and that and and and save people or not save people and go through grief. It’s like he he gave up a life to do something else to live his dream. So, let’s see more about that, you know, with this wedding, right? Like how does that come into play, right? So, there’s there’s a lot that they’re they’re emphasizing for the uh second half of this season here. Um and again, like with two little, you know, sprinkled details of, oh, what’s in case A, what’s in case B, right? We see what’s behind door number two, but we don’t know what’s behind door number one because the director again is and has been playing chess, but what level of chess has he been playing and or did he play up to his death, whereas Kaiju number nine again, he’s been playing 60 chess or whatever. He’s been, you know, being a high tiered strategist. Mhm. So, you know, we’ll see uh where that brings our our our main crew of characters here, but it’s it’s a good episode, you know. Um it doesn’t have to have, you know, a ton of action. We got that already, right? So, I I I I I’m okay with not having the best graphics the entire time, the best animation the entire time, but as long as you fulfill that and you swap that out with good character, good story, and um an ongoing, you know, movement of the plot that we we need for a a captivating season. Yeah. Um well, that’s Thank you guys for, you know, joining me tonight. Um I think that’s it for tonight. Uh Leon, you want to tell people what you got going on quickly? Uh yes. Uh for those of you that watched my show earlier, I covered the Hassan [ __ ] stuff with his dog and whatnot. And AJ, uh a friend of the channel, AJ, y’all know him, we love him. Uh he as a professional dog trainer, took issue with some of my criticisms of the Hassan [ __ ] stuff. Agree with others. So I’ll be on his channel in about an hour to debate the merits of of how that went down, his thoughts on it, his views, and um should be very interesting. We’ve got a armchair expert on socialism versus an actual expert on communism versus an actual expert on dog training. So, it’ll be an interesting show for those of you that want to tune in and be on that. Neon tomorrow videos and streams every day. Check them out. Thank you so much. It’s been a blast. Dracona, you beautiful Draconas. Uh, thank you, brother. I appreciate the gifting a Gucci gang membership. And for that, let’s just give you an old classic. No, no, let’s give you this one. new guy. That does make sense. As much as I I love Draonus, uh pretty sure he said earlier that there was no Edgar Wright film better than Guardians of the Galaxy. And if so, he is that kind of [ __ ] Uh Blue Color, what you got going on this week? Just hanging out everybody. Um yeah, I’m actually know checking in five hours, man. I’m gonna get some some stuff going, but the the John Kenny documentary comes out in five hours. Nice. talking about it cuz I I’m I’m damn sure going to make a review on it tomorrow because boy, I’ve been excited but also disappointed or like frustrated, but I want to see this so bad. Yeah, it’s it’s gonna it’s going to be a tear dripper. That’s for sure. Um Mr. Goodwin, you got anything going on? Yeah, first I was say Blue, did you do your Hellraiser stream today? No, it got cancelled because people got sick and I’m like, you know, I told people it’s a hobby. We have fun. put on. Yeah, I just I saw it scheduled, then it went away and I was like, “Oh, did he get copyright struck or what’s going on?” Um, we’ll see. Tomorrow I’ll be on NAD’s uh we’re covering The Descent. Um, good movie. And um if he has his Sunday show, I’ll we’ll be on there. Uh and then Monday uh we’ll find out which vampire uh movie Nick decided to cover, the gay girly one or the uh the one with big giant balls. No, we’re doing big giant balls. All right. Near dark. Yeah. Yeah, we’re doing near dark. Hell yeah. 100%. I had to call Omaha. Audible. Yeah. Motivating Manning. Well, that’s a good transition. Like what what you got on going on this week there, Nick?
