I think it’s that the reason why she felt uneasy seeing her parents message her in the first episode is because they’re extremely strict. Yes. And the reason why she’s so smart and good at taking notes is because her parents have drilled that into her since she was young and she has to be at the top of the class. Yeah. 100% relates to this. It’s so funny. I was like, “Oh, I relate to this. Oh, I really relate to this. Poor girl. Oh, but she decided it herself. What? Never mind. Never mind. Dude, that’s that’s funny cuz even that I relate to cuz I got competitive and was like, “Yes, I will be number one.” And then I did. God, I want her to see him though. I know. Oh, he must feel so inferior. Yes, he’s comparing himself to her. I love that movement, dude. The animation’s actually really good. Everyone’s so expressive. Ask her to teach you, man. But yeah, it is it’s hard not to judge, you know. It’s kind of human nature, but it’s good to keep it in mind. And we we talked about a possible scholarship. That’s why she can’t live in, right? Yes. I also begged my parents to let me go to this prestigious school. There’s a prestigious school I wanted to get into. Mhm. And they were really like, “Man, but it’s like far away and we only have one car and we can’t really drive you and there’s a high school like down the block that you could walk to.” That’s just a regular like normal high school, like public high school. And I begged them. I was like, “Please, if I get in, let me go.” And I got in and they were like, “Okay.” So, I really felt the pressure of like, “I got to keep my grades up because I decided to be at this school. A that’s so sweet. So maybe she doesn’t have a bad relationship with them. She just feels like she owes them something. Yeah, it’s my pride. Wow, dude. She’s so cool. Yes. Yes. Oh wow. Don’t internalize it. Change. Change. Yes. No way. I’m so proud of him. Wow. I’m so proud. The character development is incredible already. Ariel, I really didn’t think especially like he would be the one to ask her. Yes. And especially so soon. Oh no. Oh no. Yep. Oh, this is scary. Yeah. Why does she talk like that? Well, she has a cool design. She does, but the way she talks. I know. Who’s that? Silver hair. Or she could have dyed it. Yeah. I don’t know where they have silver hair. Oh no. Dude, shut up. Who are you? Oh, classic. Classic. I hate this girl so much. Classic attitude that everyone at the school has. Yeah. Oh, the class is Oh, no. No. This is terrible. This is so bad. She looks so small compared to everyone else. Whoa. Don’t get too close. Yeah. Oh no. Oh no. Don’t get violent. Nice. Nice. The two friends like protecting. Did something happen? What do you mean? Like that was just such a traumatic reaction from who? From the silverhaired girl. Yeah. I do wonder if something’s happened to her or to just in general. Yeah. No, that’s good. Ooh, she he won brownie points in that moment. 100% he won brownie points. He did, but Oh my god. Absolute. Oh my god. Greatest comeback. Not only that, Ariel. And he’s the smart one, too. Yes. Not only that, Ariel, he’s the smart one. And he’s socially aware. We remember that from the last episode where he was aware of Reno hiding something, but he’s also a [ __ ] incredible. What’s not to like? I’m rewinding this just to get the satisfaction. Such an amazing thing to pray on their pride. Of course. Yes. Oh. Oh my. He doubled down. Ah, it’s rough. It’s so rough. That seemed to really hurt. Wow. Wow. Dang. This is so complicated. This is so I know. I know. Cuz I enjoyed that. But I did too. And but it was really hurting her. It was. But Ariel, do you understand? This is war. They’re at war with each other. They are. And because they’re seen, they’re belittled so much. This is probably a learned defense from this character who utilized the skill and ability that he had of his intelligence and social awareness in order to hurt people who were hurting him. Yeah. To get them to at least like back off, you know? Yeah. So, this is like a good weapon and it’s a weapon that I can empathize with the creation of, but it is a weapon and it’s hurting. Yeah. This person and these are just a bunch of people who don’t like each other, but they’re all human. Like, there is no evil side. Yes. Beautifully said. And you know, it’s not helping their image of Chidori that he said that, you know. True. That was a great excuse, by the way. He was like, I was just apologizing to her. More brownie points. Hey guys, so there was actually a blackout. So the internet is back. So we’re might look a little different. Have a different energy. It’s been like a while. It’s been like an hour. A so sweet. Yeah, I feel like she has a clear counter example in her brain. Um, oh no. Will she be able to tell that she has a crush? I Oh, she stopped hearing anything. Did you hear that? Yeah. Yeah. She went into her own head. That’s interesting. Oh. That’s so funny. That is so funny. She came She went to the convenience store to buy snacks for everyone, but it’s not even allowed. Oh, I like his hair down. Wait, what does that say? Wait, no, it’s not translated. Why? Yes. Oh, I feel that. Oh my god. That’s me with my best friend. Yes. I I was hoping someone would point out the lie and I thought she would, but she doesn’t blame him for it. Oh, the blush. Oh my god. Oh, when is he going to figure it out? He also got into his own head. Yeah. Yeah. Poor Waguri. God, I love her outfit. It’s cute. No, we’re friends, right? They don’t even think of each other as But I can see where she gets that from. Mhm. No, he’s taking it wrong. Yeah. Things like that happen. Like you get insecure and you’re like, “Dang, maybe I’m not as close to this person as I thought. Yeah. Oh my god. I used to think about that while texting you. I’m glad he said it. Wow. Glad he said it, dude. Incredible. This is so crazy that he’s he’s really grown so much since last episode. He’s initiating so much. Like he’s making changes. He doesn’t just feel like a spectator. Mhm. This is so rare. People usually take a while to change. Right. Right. He’s like doing so well. I’m so proud of him. And this is what you got to do, guys. This is what you got to do if you want to be with your crush. Oh my gosh. They’re so adorable. I know. Oh, they’re childhood friends. So cute. Wow. A wow. Okay. Can I say it? Mhm. Okay, guys. I might be crazy, but I think she likes her. Wow. That’s a as more than a friend. Yeah. And specifically, it’s because when they were at the library and she Waguri clearly looked like she liked him. Mhm. and she stops listening and kind of looks down and starts that’s totally the sign of insecurity and something that you could easily fall into if you like someone and you’re insecure that they might like someone else or even in a relationship like when if you just like talk about another girl sometimes I’m like oh no is he going to and you’re like Ariel you’re not listening to me I just said the opposite of what you’re thinking right yes you know so it can happen and even here the way she’s looking at the picture. It doesn’t feel like just friends. It could be cuz being jealous over a close friendship is a real thing. Like if you see a good friend getting chummy with this new person, that can make you feel insecure too, but she might like her romantically. Okay. I really like this theory and I see I can definitely see where the little hints are. And the fact that she doesn’t like men, right? Of course. Yeah. I don’t know. I’m unconvinced, but I really like that as a theory. Um, the the biggest thing that makes me think that was that she completely spaced out upon possibly recognizing that she liked. Mhm. God, guys, that was such an incredible episode. If I’m sorry if you get that right, I will be so [ __ ] impressed. Ariel, a thank you. I I don’t think it’s that crazy. It’s impressive. It’s impressive. No, no, no. But I could be completely Stop. Okay, dude. That was a great episode. So good. Yeah, it’s genuinely so crazy how much he’s evolving, but specifically like the fact that he has enough confidence to exert his will that I’m phrasing it in. I I wonder if it’s just being or seeing Waguri and just the person that he loves is so straightforward. I think it’s it’s and it’s like learning from her. I think it’s important to keep in mind though, he’s not like socially isolated or anything. Like he has friends. That’s a good point. He has a good relationship with his mom. That’s a great point for why he was bullied, but he has other people who actually do like him and that would make it a big difference from someone who doesn’t have anyone. Like that kind of person would probably take a lot longer to change. But he can slowly overcome this. Especially with Waguri who is just so non-judgmental. I think it might just have been specifically, you know, girls from this school who he has a relationship of feeling really inferior to. He has a flashback of people bullying him since elementary school. Yeah. Yeah. So, it’s been a thing. It’s not it’s not just the all girls school then specifically like he has people who belittle him but he also has people that he can just you know talk normally with and now this girl in his mind has a safe space you know so I could see upon having her fill that role now can just kind of talk normally with her he can talk how he talks with the rest of his friends not quite there but he’s getting with the rest of his friends right but he’s like, “Oh, is this relationship a scary one or a comfortable one?” Oh, it’s a comfortable one. This is how I approach comfortable relationships. Yes, there’s still that nervousness and hesitation from the fact that he likes her. Right. Right. But that’s different from her being a scary person. Right. It’s just the heart flutters. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. H this show is so cute, guys. And it’s really well written. I love it so far. Yeah, definitely. I really feel like the characters are smart, especially I forget his name, but the guy with the specky hair, black specky hair from the friend group. Yes. He really feels like a smart and manipulative character. Yes. Um and is usually so dead pan, like not very expressive, but I loved seeing him get embarrassed and like not wanting to apologize. Like that was so cute. Like such a cute bit of character for him. He has so much character. Mhm. Yeah, for sure. God, I love the friend group. This show is so good. I can’t wait to watch more this episode more than anything. I’m like, I want more of this show. It’s so cute. And I really feel like the show is going to humanize every character. That’s what it’s all about is seeing past the superficial. Right. Right. Because all of these characters are human. If anything, I kind of understand the girls more than the guys. just them their general like dislike and weariness of the boys. I really truly understand that. Cuz the girls do seem kind of since we’re following the male perspective, they really do seem kind of like overly harsh and judgmental, but I just really understand. Yeah. But I also their age in like an all girls school like men can be so scary cuz they can and it it’s honestly I feel like it’s partially um uh maybe even like a subconscious defensive tactic because if you dehumanize a group of people or a person in your brain then it’s a way of like validating the harsh treatment of this massive group. you’re like, “Oh, I mean, it’s fine that I’m overly cruel to these people because they’re this bad group.” You know what I mean? So, it it can alleviate some of the guilt that you would feel otherwise, you know? And I wonder how many of them have had bad experiences with men. Yeah, that could totally be. And then they tell their girlfriends and they’re like, “It spreads.” Yep. And it spreads and it’s just this general feeling of like men are pigs or men are the worst. And that’s kind of like the society that we’re in right now is the way that we talk about men in our current culture. So, I really understand where it comes from, but it’s like this show is showing. It is inaccurate. It is. Yeah. And it’s just so unhealthy to demonize half the population. Mhm. It’s just not sustainable and it’s not good for even the girls, you know, like not just for guys, it’s not good for the girls either to be doing stuff like that. But then also have sympathy for the guys because not everyone is like that. And when you’re painted as a monster for so long, it can really mess you up. It really can affect your self-image and confidence. Mhm. Yeah. Just like that was experiencing. It’s rough for the boys because they’re lower in like status in the show. Yes. I thought you were talking about real life. Okay. Oh, no, no, no. Yeah, in the show they’re lower in status for these girls. So, it it’s kind of I can see it being like an internalized thing for a lot of them because they can kind of see these people as superior to them, you know? Like that’s mentality is he’s like I am like trash or worthless. Like he’s really internalized all of that. And I feel like it can be difficult to fight that when you’re like these people are just above me. Like that’s how I classify them in my brain. So I’m going to and they’re like rich. Yeah. And they’re just like some higher figure. They don’t really even need a reason. Um, but it can be a lot harder to break that because you’re valuing this person’s opinion over your own because, you know, you’re like, “This person would know better.
