What’s up, guys? Back in today with more summer Hikaru night. This time with episode 9. A really good episode last week. I love where we ended off with um Hikaru finally meeting the blonde dude. Um after we discovered that Hikaru’s kind of family for a long time have been kind of dealing with um or kind of helping sorting out this whole entity situation, keeping at bay, keeping it in the mountains, I believe. Um, so yeah, it was hugely ironic that Hikaru of all people is the one to kind of get possessed by at least part of um I forget the name of it. Holuki sama or something. Oh crap. Just Yeah, just put it back on. Leaking now. Um, but yeah, I love the scene of the intro as well, of course, with the slap woman. But yeah, it’s an absolute mess, isn’t it? This reminds me of This reminds me of when I was like 10 and I was in my toilet. Don’t ask me why I had a a um milkshake in my toilet, but I had a milkshake and I was shaking it and the cap wasn’t on properly. So, the whole toilet it was white as well. It all just had brown spots all over the place and it was an absolute mess. Um, so yeah, I really [ __ ] up doing that. So yeah, that that scene there honestly is very similar. Also reminds me of uh in that same house I um not really sure what the scenario was, but I just I was drinking a Coke out of a can and I accidentally snorted and a Coke came through my nose and it was one of the most painful things. Like you wouldn’t think it’d be too bad, but that fizziness coming out of your nose, it was horrible. One of the worst things that I’ve done. Never happened since. Thank God. [Music] Yeah, that old man was pretty damn creepy last episode, wasn’t it? I like that scene. Very good time for horror right now. Obviously, this is airing, but um just in general watched a lot of good stuff. Watched Weapons this week, which was fantastic. I forgot what the other movie that came out was to be honest with you, but um there was another recent release that I really liked. We’re in a good place at the minute. Okay. The hospital. No, it’s going to say truth. What happened there? I don’t get it. Also pretty interesting that Hikaru was kind of spared, I guess you would say, from blond dude. Maybe pi him a little bit. That kind of feeble attempt. Maybe he just wants to explore it more. Ultimate goal and what would that be then? So his ultimate goal like I feel like he could have dealt with Hikaru then. I mean, we know we saw him slice his head off, but like we’ve seen him deal with other entities in different ways and just like cut or slash stab. So, yeah. I wonder what this ultimate goal is then. Maybe maybe he’s got someone he wants to bring back. Maybe that’s the case. I think everybody does, don’t they? Everybody out there’s got someone. Yeah. blind right now. Oh, he’s blind in general. Oh [ __ ] Know that gets about okay, doesn’t it? Maybe he’s got something similar to what we know that girl has with her kind of clairvoyant type earring. He really is properly [ __ ] up, isn’t it? Was he always blind? Feel like maybe his vision was taken in. exchange for something and he’s like again he’s given up a lot seemingly so none that’s um yeah he’s he’s got such a dedication such a such a He’s he pours so much of himself into this work. Again, literally giving up potentially his eyesight, but as we see his body. Um, so it must be a powerful mo a really powerful motivation. And again, I could I could see that being to return maybe someone a loved one of his back to life. I think that’s definitely a powerful enough one, right? I feel like this is the first scene of these two in the current time period and it’s over just like that. So, it’s a lot. I mean, he rushed back to be fair. Bless him. But his relationship with his son is not great. Is it be online if I survive? Well, Japan has a few of these haunted kind of underpasses, don’t they? Underpasses where I live in the UK are just creepy places because you get creepy people there. be honest with you guys, I’m literally just got finished watching the Dharma series. So, this is like nothing compared to that. I just felt horrible watching that the whole time. It felt disgusting to be honest with you. It like it got to a point where it actually wasn’t that like it was a really good series, but it wasn’t actually enjoyable, I wouldn’t say. Okay, so this kind of goes with what I was saying last week, right, about these being like people that have died um to the curse while this kind of curse stuff has been about. But um yeah, like I said, there’s like this is nothing on what that dude done. Like that [ __ ] is evil as [ __ ] Um, I think a lot I think it was they’re really popular series a few years back, wasn’t it? Um, I only just got around to watching it. But yeah, that was horrid. Kind of reminds me of W from a dream in a way. like really [ __ ] good, but never want to watch it again. So, yeah, I feel I might have been right with what I said about that. like these people that can’t like pass on because of this interference. So you can never truly defeat it. A bit about to be fair. Seen out a few places. company. A company dealing with the ship. You’re draining it. That hand’s really that sound. Maybe interesting. That maybe it’s not the slap. We saw her slap. We’ve seen her slap a couple of these entities, but maybe it’s not actually a slap that does anything to them. Maybe it’s the sound cuz she just clapped there. Maybe it’s a clapping sound rather than the actual slap. Interesting. We’ll keep a track of that. It’s a demon sword. Is it? That was one smooth cut. Of course, he’s a lovely guy. He’s a lovely I mean, you can sim simultaneously be a lovely guy and cut someone’s head off, I think. That would be quite funny. That’ be a good little gag. I have to wear a scarf for a little while. That is interesting question though. Why is it still there? would have even in his weakened state would have expected that to heal, right? What did I say? Trade head for quest. That mean Cinear. The only time I’ve ever heard that is Cineabar Island from Oh, come on. mean a couple of you did. Yeah, she knows. That’s a thing you can you can get like PhD in folklore. Maybe that’s that comes under another subject probably like history a more niche topic of history perhaps. Is that a guy? ask the imagery. Apologies. Um won’t be able to take in a lot of the imagery even though it’s really good just because I’m trying to pay a lot of attention to the subs. makes sense. You see that a lot with I mean Christianity is a really good example, isn’t it? Christianity has been changed into a few things over the years. Few different kind of religions that follow that same look. Well, I think they have different books. I don’t I’m no I’m no religion kind of stickler or anything. I don’t know too much about it, but just purely off what I’ve seen from like series. I think mostly from um I think I brought this up at the start of this show. Uh Midnight Mass, I think there is like Oh, no. It’s Heretic I think. Uh watched Heretic a few weeks back which is really good. And that’s discussing a lot about like the the Christianity and certain religions and um yeah I think there’s like three or four rel probably more than three or four but a lot of religions all based on the kind of same kind of initial thing but have different kind of rel rules and books for it and such. So it makes sense that this would kind of change over time to be fair. Yeah. If you guys are interested in kind of religious kind of stuff like that I think heretic was a really good movie. What was that? Okay. A lot going on with the whole kind of stuff. To be honest with you guys, I don’t I’m not really saying too much about it cuz I’m still not really sure what to like make of it all to be honest with you. still very much processing processing it and it’s not like it’s it doesn’t come 100% naturally to me of like oh yeah I totally understand all that uh especially because again we’re talking like uh law of a anime right here but um yeah so apologies and I’m just again trying to process it all but um yeah what was this visual here ah it’s like an old Ah yeah it’s like a 1700 00s. Um, I assume anyway from the cloven a 1700’s Hikaru. I mean, I think pretty obviously Hikari would the entity would have looked like this back then, but um I think I suppose that kind of supports the theories that Shiki’s coming up with here and kind of changing forms and such over time, the meaning of the religion and such, changing and separating and yeah, I feel Yeah, I feel like he probably knows quite a bit. I’d like to ask him about it. I think he’s dead to be honest. Put through a lot of stress. Jesus. Had a heart attack or something. Are they real? No, I don’t. I don’t think they’re real, are they? Still though. You guys seen cheapest creepers? Could be a little bit like that. Maybe they are real. Oh crap. Because obvious again we we just had the segment where we heard Cheeky talk about how pretty much all of the entities that have had interaction with so far are missing their heads or have some kind of weird thing going on with their heads. Um maybe these are maybe these are real. Maybe these perhaps these aren’t and they’re just sculptures. Perhaps they’re like encased in something almost like uh again if you guys have seen maybe like House of Wax um something like that where they’re kind of like there’s a material kind of poured over their actual heads. So they’re they’re rotting heads and not on display but like it does look like wood to be fair, doesn’t it? But these are like very detailed and intricate and yeah it’s still creepy even if these aren’t real because these are definitely based off someone’s actual face I think. and especially because they do look like people from the 1700s. I think they got similar like hairstyles and such. So, of what I know of Japanese 179. Again, I don’t really not any much of a history buff or anything, but it’s what I’d expect them to maybe look like here. But yeah, this again, it kind of reminds me of uh that little where the um bin the trash shoot kind of goes in uh Deepest Creepers underground layer. You know this place. Oh, could be summer. Okay. So, okay, that’s what they look alike. So, yeah, these are almost their replacement heads. Not really. Not really at all. [ __ ] up. We’re going to die anyway sooner or later. So, you’re saying at this point in time, which we’re seeing right now, they’re still cutting people’s headers off? Probably not. I hope not. Bloody murder village. G sound. Oh, didn’t we see the D pick up? Yeah, we did. your daddy. What are you saying? Daddy. I mean, they’re like almost grown men. Also, I I don’t know if this sounds um insulting. Hopefully not. It’s never great to start a sentence like that, but surely as a a gay person, daddy would be even more weird to say. No. Am I Am I on with that? Apologies if that offended anyone. I don’t know. [Music] But yeah, lots of lore today, wasn’t there? Like lots of old stories and about the the kind of history, which again, I can’t really comment too much on. So, one, I’m not sure where it’s going. Two, it’s a little bit hard to fully kind of process a lot of information like this. So, definitely going to have to have another watch. But I think we get like the general gist of things of there’s still a little bit more to discover in terms of the sin, but surely this is one of the sins like killing all these people. I mean, I know this is sacrifice, but perhaps it’s the case of where any any s anything you would have valued would sacrifice would have been accepted if you know what I’m saying. Like why did they choose heads? Why’ they choose the heads of people? Maybe it could have been like a finger. Could have just sacrificed someone’s finger and that would have done. Also, I didn’t notice this. Do you guys see that? Has that changed or was this always the case? Cuz Hikaru’s got that line on his neck in this scene. Has that always been Has that always been there? Has he always had that there? Before this episode, he didn’t have it at all. So, um um you know what? I’m not going to do it right now. I’m going to look episode one or two. See if that’s there. Sorry guys, I just like wasn’t paying full attention. Sorry, my mind was in like episode over mode. Sorry. I want to devour some people right now. Maybe it’s just looking for that sacrifice. Been too long. You tell me. You tell me. Um, again, the way I interpret that is I don’t really know. Again, I feel like that’s a a common thing I said this episode. So, apologies. You’re not going to get too much insight from me today. But, um, yeah. I mean, should we take it at face value? Like, my insides are cold and empty. We need something to fill up. that being again just from I’m just going to guess I guess it’s not really a guess but um just from what we’re seeing today of like that’s the sacrifice that’s um it’s not just like a human head like going inside of him it’s the appreciation and kind of wishes and the prayer of the people sacrificing the head. So, I assume again, I’m going to assume that the the beheadings and the the things that like the sacrifices aren’t still going on. I’m very much assuming that. It might very well still be, but I’m not 100% sure to be honest with you, but I’m assuming they’re not. So, yeah, I feel like these gods and such, again, I don’t know an awful lot about the Japanese history, but they probably I think we’ve seen it in Frier, I think, was a pretty decent example. I think there was a couple episodes focused on statues and like the restoration of statues. If we like forget these things, things that we pray to, things that we kind of um give up things towards and value, if we stop kind of praying to them and such, they they lose their power. they lose their kind of as with religion like some religions I’m not 100% sure cuz again I’m not an expert but I imagine some religions have just been lost to time and that and if there was kind of an entity that did that was kind of real from that religion they probably wouldn’t be real anymore because they wouldn’t have anyone believe in it um or care about it or or so on so perhaps this is kind of similar to that maybe this is quite similar to the I mean it’s obviously linked to religion in some sense. But I I do wonder just how far. It’s what he’s supposed to do. He’s supposed to fill himself up, be satisfied, and swallow them all. Is that him just like again wanting a sacrifice like a head or is that like him wanting to devour people? Like again, I’m not 100% sure. Let me know what you guys think. Again, let me know what you guys think about this whole episode in general. As I said, I’m I’m myself. I’m really not sure what to think about a lot of this stuff. I definitely need at least a second watch, maybe a third to be honest with you. Um, so yeah, I’d love to hear what you guys have to say about some of the things in this episode.
