When a Noble orders her Men to Kill Yui | Scooped Up by an S-Ranked Adventurer
Wondering what he should do to improve himself, Cross encounters a young archer named Lynn, who impulsively asks him to form a party with him. UI witnesses a noble from the Windy family threaten to execute a boy for staining her dress. So, she steps in and saves the boy, causing the noble to order her men to kill Yui. Cross ends up joining Lynn temporarily and learns that no one wants to party with him since he is stuck at E-rank forever. At the beginning, they take on a basic quest to exterminate slimes. On the site, Cross demonstrates his basic skill. However, he then realizes Lynn is the worst archer he has ever met. Meanwhile, UI gets restrained by a hiding mage. However, just when the noble’s men try to kill her, an unknown powerful woman comes and instantly knocks down all of them, scaring the nobles so much that they faint. UI asks the woman, who calls herself Lilith, how she got so strong. Lilith learns that UI is at the same party as Lloyd and offers to train Yui. Lloyd asks Clare about controlling monsters as he is certain it is ancient magic. Cross teaches Lynn to shoot a bow properly, allowing him to kill his first slime, while Lilith teaches UI to control blades made from mana for long range attacks. Clare explains to Lloyd that ancient magic is forbidden because it strips a person of their life if they try to use it without being born with the special talent. As Lynn kills all the slimes, a highle monster tries to steal them, causing Lynn to panic. However, he advises Cross on a way of firing arrows faster than before by using his storage magic, allowing him to kill it. Later at the guild, the receptionist is shocked to see that Lynn has brought so many things. Lynn also realizes that Cross is a veteran adventurer, but gets shocked to find he is actually an S-rank one. Yu uses her new spell to save Lilith when a monster attacks. With everyone having grown stronger, they continue to Sulfus. Lilith, really named Lily, returns to Merlin, who was jealous that Lily was able to see Lloyd and she wasn’t.
