City The Animation Episode 5 Reaction – CITY THE ANIMATION 5話 海外の反応

What’s up, guys? Back in today with another reaction to City the Animation. This time with episode five. Um, to honest, I think last episode might be my favorite one so far. I had um some of my funniest segments in there, like the the dad behind the door. Um, the whole end of the episode was awesome with the chasing after the rabbit thing. Um, yeah. And this episode is almost half hour long. So really like that. Good question. Why did that look like claymation? Why is this like such a different style? Wow. We got two options for the for the elevator. Floor one and 412. Oh my god. Sounds like heaven. [ __ ] [ __ ] Go to this meeting or whatever. Stay here. Jesus. Well, at least we can’t escape a very awesome situation. Yeah, that doesn’t really matter when we could have so much fun here. I don’t even think about leaving. You have to use the plumbing. Go down the pipes. And what is this? Is this like is this drawn? I I don’t think it is. I’m not sure. Really cool. Got the Mona Lisa here. Oh, look who it is. It’s the other man that’s received an award. Why are they terrified? I’d be you’d be happy to see someone, right? Although that might just be confirmation like damn, I am actually receiving this award, which isn’t a bad thing. Again, I wouldn’t be I wouldn’t be too fussed over this. What a lovely place. Yeah. Again, if any of you guys let me know what style that was, please do. It kind of look like claymation, but um not 100% sure. It kind of almost It looks like it could have been drawn as well. Like, yeah, very intriguing style right there. I like it. I haven’t watched the newest one, but I’m a big fan of like uh the Wallace and Grommet that’s the Where Habit movie. Used to love that as a kid. It’s actually still funny as an adult. I need to watch the newest one. Did hear really good things about that. And thank you guys for in the comments for letting me know what was in that locket last episode. I forgot. It’s actually a picture of uh who I think I consider our main character. Impossible for me to remember the name. So, apologies. That guy, this guy was in the food in that first episode. I believe. Oh, wow. There even more. Oh, this place is [ __ ] awesome. A game. Sounds like be a pretty awesome game. Ice, man. So, what I’m going to assume is the bosses of like each floor are actually like good. If you know what I’m saying, like that they’re kind of things that will make you want to stay rather than things that will defeat you and keep you here. It’s the floor, isn’t it? We did see in that visual it looked like one of the floor boards kind of goes down. You could probably a good way of figuring that out is probably to knock on it. See if it’s hollow. Not hollow, but see if it’s like Yeah, he’s been there before. Cute dog. She a police officer. Wow. Oh, bunny girls and everything. Um, this was quite the uh quite the ruse here, wasn’t it? Look at this. Good job from uh from the butler. But is she imp surely she should get arrested there, right? Is she not impersonating a police officer? If she is one, then fair play. Wow. Good person. Yeah, the good person award. I don’t think it should I don’t think there should be any incentive to be a good person. It’s why I have a bit of a view on religion like that. It’s like if you’re only a good person because you’re religious, does that actually make you a good person? something quite interesting in some of like Fanigan’s works. You can live here for a few days as well. Like this is this is not a bad place to be. Jesus. She just invaded. Okay. Oh no, these guys are here. Bad time. Where has he put those [ __ ] cards? Well, at least that would peck This guy, this guy’s an absolute [ __ ] lunatic. As if he’s even got magic tricks involved in his ventures. Quite a commitment. How was that me? I guess they have. I guess they [ __ ] have. Classic dungeon crawler right here. Okay, what’s next? The dog’s enjoying it. So I assume this whole episode is going to be this. Okay. Very different structure of episode today, isn’t it? Math hell. Okay. A backus. All right. What you got? Okay. What’s going on? I got no idea what’s Are they They’re all involved in this mech. And that’s just it. I was looking forward to a puzzle or something cuz I love that stuff. I don’t want to I kind of want to stay here and actually do something or achieve something for myself. I’ll be feeling right now. Oh, the old lady There they are. Look at them in the right dungeon crawler. Sorry guys, it’s hard to pay attention to both. Not that we need to pay too much attention to the corner, but that really does look like an old school kind of um old school game right there, doesn’t it? like a like a link um like a like the OG kind of Zelda games and stuff like that. I love that kind of style. I never used to like those type of games when I was younger, but I’ve come to really enjoy them as an adult. I’m not sure why. I to be honest, I never really tried too much of that whole kind of dungeon crawling JRPG type of game because I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much, but me getting into anime has opened up all other doors in terms of like gaming and such now, which I I really appreciate. Okay, let’s try and focus a bit more on the the not the dungeon corner. She’s still searching for a locket. Oh, world encounter. It’s and choke. Sorry guys, it is hard to concentrate. very hard to concentrate. getting robbed. A she missed. Even try. Just steal it. It is yours. Is it really stealing? If you’re stealing it back to the police, I I think it actually is. I think you can actually get arrested for stealing something that you already got stolen from you, which is insane. Tomato sauce. Lava. Bloody hell. Are any of these bosses actually going to put up a fight? They’ve been running through the floors. I’m not sure what floor they’re on now, but they they’ve gone quite far. Oh my god, guys. This is so hard to keep up with. It’s one of those things like I I’m not going to do it on the video because it’s it’ll just take way too long. But I’d like to like watch all of these separately. Um focus on this one and then rewind back, focus on that one, rewind back, focus on that one, rewind back, focus on that one, and that that I’ll be for ages if I do that. So, I’m not going to do that. But I think this is one of those things where obviously for a reactor it’s slightly different because I’ve got to do all in one video. But um it it just suits manga better if you know what I’m saying. Like this this type of thing right here kind of four ongoing stories in like one panel. It’s a lot easier to keep up with when you’re reading it in a manga than when it’s airing on TV like this. So I’m obviously going to miss stuff here. It was hard enough to keep it up with too. Um I saw them go down a few floors and stuff. I’ve been trying to mainly focus on this kind of main story that the bigger one that we’ve been focused on here, but it’s hard enough keeping up with just these two. And now there’s going to be four. And it’s a shame cuz I probably missed some really good stuff in in this little right hand segment 2017. So yeah, this is one of those things where just the translation of manga to anime just doesn’t fit the best. like it usually is a very good fit. Usually fit like a glove adapting a a manga to an anime, but sometimes you get cases like this where it’s yeah, a lot harder. Again, I’m just going to try and focus on the top left one. I’m going to try and keep up to date with the right one as well if I can. There’s five now. Six. Cuz it’s also distracting cuz the subtitles are where the other stories are, so I inevitably do look at them. That’s what is the butler doing? Floor five. We really went through a lot of floors right there, didn’t we? Oh, this guy’s got a broken arm. They’re not even doing anything in in the middle left there. Good. I hope they’re still not do I hope they continue to do nothing. Got fights going on the bottom right. Such no like Jesus Christ, bro. Like half of these they’re just doing nothing luckily. The girls on the bottom left generally think just been walking like that for like five minutes now. I think I think that’s a cute little Tinoa. Deep deep. We got another one added at the top left. What’s going on there? Some kind of crazy battle. The old woman. Who’s she fighting? Look at her creepy ass. What was that creepiness that just happened in the top left? Bloody hell, bro. I feel so overwhelmed right now. Okay, nothing’s happening around. Oh, the girls move. They’re still just walking. Okay. So again, it’s just like if if it if I could just focus on this, it would be perfect if they just moved the subtitles up a bit. But because the subtitles here, it’s constantly distracting my eyes. And then my eyes are going around back to the main one, then going back down and going around and I’m doing a loop with my I don’t know if you’ll be able to see that in the video, but my eyes are literally [ __ ] seem like they’re going crazy right now. There’s a lot happening on the side now as well. Like they were everyone was just walking for a while and chilling, but now things are moving again. Um, something’s happened with the the dungeons, the RPG players. They’ve started moving again. The cat rabbit thing is on the move. And yeah, it’s all a little hard. Please bear with me, guys. God, I don’t know how many watches of this you’ll have to go through to actually catch everything that happens here. By the way, there’s been so much stuff I’ve missed. Like there was a whole boss battle happening on the top left at one point. Not with the RPG play dungeon that we’re in. Second floor. Okay, we’re almost there. Okay. Like is this just a case of they just wanted to put this all in so they just stuffed it in here like this? for I imagine sorry to pause again but I imagine it’s the case of again in the manga this is all going on at the same time like I think we can tell like this is all happening in the same time like she’s walking there they’re like all of this is happening right now um it looks like the butler’s brought a whole bunch of new people to this place as well bunch of new victims um yeah this was all happening at the same time but it’s again it’s just harder to comprehend in anime form here, isn’t it? I thought, would it have been a better job if like did they just like try and cram this all in? It It very much feels stylistic in terms of in the manga it would be a stylistic thing. There’ be like a cool kind of um you see in movies sometimes where there’s like two like two or maybe three things max going on at the same time in in like side by side like they split the screen and there’s like two things going on at the same time. in this case with eight believe there’s eight sections going on at the same time. Yeah, it’s bit of a crazy decision in my opinion. It’s good in terms of keeping it accurate to the source material I assume, but in terms of being adapted to TV. This is one of those cases where I think people always cry when their when their favorite manga or light novel isn’t adapted. It’s like, well, they didn’t adapt this and they left this out and it’s not a good adaptation cuz they left this. I think this is a very good example of their different mediums. I think they could have done this better in my opinion. Um, because it’s just hard to keep up with. It’s just it’s impossible to to take all of this in unless you watch it three, four, five times. Um, and this is a case where maybe it would have been better if you shoot it like one after another. It definitely would have had the wouldn’t have had the same effect, but may maybe would have been more digestible viewing. I’m not really sure how you could have remedyed this to be honest with you. Maybe there’s no way of remedying it. I feel like what they’ve gone for here is just is so hard to keep up with. So again, just you got to bear with me here. massage. Oh [ __ ] it’s the woman. She had a boss battle with a bear is what we saw. Okay, so this is what I’m saying. Like this would this would make a lot and I did watch a bit of that fight. I imagine the things that we’re seeing around are actually going to come into play here. So, we’re it it yeah, it’s just not as effective cuz we didn’t actually view all of these things. I did see some of her boss battle fight against this bear. I didn’t realize she was fighting a bear. Like this one’s okay because I kind of know what happened to it. How do you win and lose? So you surrender and attack at the same time. Okay. Oh dear. I I I don’t think that’s our woman’s going down easily, is she? Oh crap. Pull up inside. It’s a collection of moments. Hey, was that not just Was that not just It’s the same voice actor, right, as um Akay from Nichi Joe. Is that not just her? I swear I just heard her there and saw her. Sounds very similar. Does really similar. Uh so yeah. Uh, again, I’m not going to say anymore, but this would have been a lot more impactful if you could actually pay attention to all of the stories. Maybe some genius out there in the comment section probably did. Well, I was able to pay attention to every story at the same time and you’re just a liar. [ __ ] live, isn’t all those trophies. Now, this is a It really does remind me of like Where’s Wally? Like, it just looks like a Where’s Wally page? Really cool. I’m trying to find Where’s Wally here? But it’s just like it’s got that much kind of um Yeah, it gives similar vibes. I really like it. Is that the magician? He’s got his hat. Oh no, he’s just stolen his hat. There’s a lot going on here. Few of these people obviously in the bottom left were part of one of those little stories that I did notice. But I don’t know what they’re up to. They were just driving in a car every time I looked over at them. A monkey having a little picnic by himself. Oh no, he’s with he’s with a couple guys actually. Some girl just staring at a tree in the corner. 2412. What what I might do after this is go back and actually just like watch um not on the video, but go back and watch those segments each. I think there will be some merit in doing so. It’s on me. They own that thing. He own this rabbit. Is it Is he taught this thing to steal 100 yen? Damn, that’s cheap. I know there I know for a fact there are people out there that have done What the hell is this? Uh, I know for a fact there are people out there that have that do train like crows and birds out there to steal money and to find money on the streets and such. Not sure how moral that is, but looks like that guy’s done it with his rabbit cat thing. really sleeps here. like your stupidity sleeping out in the open like that. Did he want to give him an award? Is that what’s going on here? Is this the Is this the [ __ ] the first award ceremony for being a good person in ancient Japan? These guys living a good life, aren’t they? Oh, they got they got judged by Buddha. They got killed by Buddha. Oh my god. And a bullet has been spotted. It is. I [ __ ] knew it. The first the anniversary. The twin towers of awards of nice people. Built by Buddha himself. It looks very relieved. Need to just kill bunch of uh rat human things. Wow, that was something. So, I assume this lady is like a descending of that blonde man. If not, she must be a descending of Buddha. Okay, so yeah, thank you guys for watching. Uh, again, that was a really good episode for the most part. I do think that did it get incredibly hard to keep up with during the middle portion. I really enjoyed it till then. Um, to be honest with you, I still enjoyed it during that time, but I just it was just really hard to concentrate on anything. Like even the big main one, it was hard to concentrate cuz where the subtitles are. Um, no fault to show that. I mean, if I knew Japanese, maybe it’d be a lot easier to Yeah, that’s another thing. If if if I could watch without subtitles, it probably would be a lot easier to also kind of see the surrounding stories and pay attention to them. Uh the only ones I did kind of see was um the old lady uh where is it? This one. The old lady boss fight I saw. Other than that, I didn’t see too much with um with these. I I did see the butler bringing in a bunch of new people as well, but that’s pretty much it. I tried focusing on the main kind of story ones, but um yeah, we’ll have to go back and watch them for sure. Um yeah, let me know what you guys thought about this one in the comments section. I thought it was a really awesome premise. Kind of again, a kind of RPG kind of adventure, which is really cool. Um trying to escape this uh this heaven of a place. Um, and uh, yeah, really nice note to end out on as well, but like I said, just kind of hard to keep up with for like five or six minutes in the middle there, which tanked my enjoyment a little bit of this episode. I think this could have been one of the strongest episodes so far, um, if I could keep up with it. But, um, alas, that was not the case.
