Anyways, okay. So it almost makes me feel like this isn’t a euphemism or analogy for Yoshi inside
Hikaru, but maybe the other way around. just now at least him saying it doesn’t feel as bad and
then Yoshi Ki like Yoshi being the one to to to make it stop. You know what I mean? It felt like
it was the other way around if it was an actual sexual act. You know what I mean? And that’s
very interesting. That’s very very interesting. Anyways, yeah, the show is just is just phenomenal
with the uh with the like the double entandra, the um the euphemism, the analogy, the I don’t
know what [ __ ] word I’m supposed to use cuz I’m not smart. All right, I’m not like can I pick
up on things? Sure. Do I know actual word? No, I’m not good word. So, sorry. It really shows
how scary it is of samesex intimac intim intim intimacy. I intimisticism. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I
think so. I think so. But here’s the thing. Here’s the thing. I understand that this is supposed to
be very much for like same sex, but there are so many like if you you can even like break it down
further to just being like first time in general, like not even the fact that they’re both
guys. Just in general, that whole situation is an uncomfortable like I don’t know how to do
this. What are we doing? Am I doing it right? This is my first time feeling it. You know
what I mean? Just like at its base level, just a first sexual encounter. It’s like

think that this show displays it so well and it’s [ __ ] hell, man. It’s It’s pretty

probably in the manga it’s an actual character, but then in the anime they had to
change it cuz copyright. True to true. Oh, he’s really starting to accept him. I think it’s still down there. What could be good news though? That’s also very much possible. Maybe I But

this show is just [ __ ] amazing. It’s absolutely phenomenal. I love it. Every
every episode that we get of this show, I absolutely love the show. Just the way I
mention every time just the way the author like handles these situations and like kind of
like encodes it. I don’t even know the the right term I want to use, but like the author
is able to do something. so like clever, so just interesting. I don’t know. I’m not
a smart person. I don’t have big words, man. I just I just really like it. I really really
like it. And the episode was great. And I like that they went back to the the chussy and and and
you know, delved into that a little bit more. Our boy, our baldy boy, he’s maybe crushing on
Momo Voice girl. Interesting. Interesting. And uh uh uh you know there’s there’s a spirit
inside of his home inside of Yoshiki’s home that’s that’s really up to some some some crazy [ __ ] I
don’t I don’t know. I really thought that Hikadu was more powerful. Maybe he what if there’s a
point where like Hikatu is starting to lose power as he becomes more human? I don’t know. But um I
thought he would be able to just take this thing out easily and it it looked like it was taking
some time while and maybe it’s because it was kind of hiding. It was harder to get to versus
the other one in the woods that was literally sprinting at Yoshiki. So Hikata was able to handle
that easily. This one’s maybe hiding. So it’s a hard it’s harder to find. I don’t know exactly
why why it was much more difficult, why it was able to get away and why he couldn’t just eat it.

I love that we had a whole scene focused on consent. Yoshiki made the first move, being open to "touching" Hikaru again. He was comfortable enough to try it once more, but Hikaru went too far, and when he "reciprocated" the touch, it made Yoshiki uncomfortable.
Hikaru did it because it made himself feel good, and he expected Yoshiki to just get use to it. But he had to learn the importance of consent, to not do something if it makes Yoshiki uncomfortable.
That's so nice honestly, I love all the symbolism this story brings!
Also I love the parallel with Yoshiki being marked on the arm by Hikaru, and Hikaru being marked on his arm by Yoshiki. There's probably a lot more symbolism woven into that as well.

Yknow, I wasn't subscribed until you mentioned the statistics of it. Usually a lot of people just go "nah" but genuinely you are interesting and fuckin fascinating to watch for your commentary. Such an artistic perspective on the show and as an English/Drama student, I thought I'd pick up on a lot of things but nope! You pick up on way more than I do in a lot of parts of these episodes.

They're changing the manga a bit, i really hope they don't mess it up though the parts they deleted aren't that necessary, but i feel like the anime story is more forward and well told than the manga which was a bit confusing at first glance
I just want to say, I really appreciate that you haven't been making jokes during the more "sexual" scenes. Most of the reactions I've seen to the show, people can't help but laugh or joke (in a "that's so gay" manner), which is very disheartening. I really appreciate you taking the scenes seriously and critically thinking about what they mean.

The summer hikaru died teaching us about the importance of consent is crazy.I love this anime
I didn’t even know Shion Wakayama was in this. I was wondering why her voice was so cute. I really love that VA.
Every episode is a banger
Doesn’t seem to me like Yoshiki particularly enjoys this. Hikaru got him to do it again by telling him he needs to get used to creatures like him because he’s “weak” to them.
At this point, the only time Yoshiki says something Hikaru does “feels good” is when Hikaru wigged out when they argued after class and Hikaru basically attacked him. Yoshiki was in the process of being…absorbed, maybe? Encompassed? Nearly killed. And was confused that it felt good.
This time, Hikaru went too far when he “touched back” and Yoshiki had to firmly tell him to stop. He then told him that he can’t just do things for his own pleasure that make someone else uncomfortable.
Sounds like a good conversation for, uh, “intimate partners” to have. Yoshiki is also following up on what he said before about teaching Hikaru. He basically decided that “Hikaru” is like a lonely, naive child, who doesn’t understand what he should/shouldn’t do. In this case: don’t make other ppl uncomfortable just to make yourself feel good.
Theory : Rie Kurebayashi probably mixed with her husband, and that's why she can do things to the monsters and crush them like Hikaru does. It at least seems like it from the head coming out of the train barrier last ep.
The “mark”- Hikaru grabbed Yoshiki too hard on the arm during one of the previous episodes and left a handprint. If you watch, over time, the mark fades like it’s healing. However, this time it has darkened like a worsening bruise. Seems like it does that when he gets more “mixed” with Hikaru; at least, that’s my theory.
