This girl, she doesn’t seem to care too much about meeting an alien. Why is the kid so disinterested in this? I’m confused. What a bizarre interaction. You have this alien creature that’s literally meant this young girl has pretty much said like, “I’ll give you this magic ring that allows you to fly. It’s all super happy and excited.” And this girl just looks I don’t know. I guess depressed would be the the right word. She looks shattered. has no interest in it. No interest in flying. Has this alien not being How does this alien know there’s lots of flying creatures on this planet but not know that humans can’t fly? [Music] Fore. Ah, no. I got a really bad feeling about this anime, man. I’m completely honest in all of my reactions. I really am doing this as a blind reaction. I wanted to kind of react to all of the anime that were in that poll we put on YouTube recently, and Taki was one of the ones that people asked for to be included in that poll. This is blind. And all of a sudden, I’m getting this worrying feeling. The reason people are asking me to react to this is because it’s not going to be fun. It’s going to be the opposite of fun. I’m known a little bit. It’s a bit of an emotional reaction. [Music] [Music] Wait, wait, wait. [Music] How can a parent ever let their kid go through this? How can a parent ever let their kid go through this? Come back with that on their back. What the [ __ ] kind of parents has she got? [Music] And what the school don’t know either. [Applause] I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this watching an anime series, by the way. This is so weird. It’s just a complete contradiction. You have this girl who is incredibly depressed, neglected, bullied. Her mother’s an escort. It’s just heartbreaking. It’s so It’s so strange. Oh man, I’m always scared when there’s a dog in an anime. Anime is not kind to dogs. [Music] Oh, this feels like a huge red flag, man. This is such a big red flag. [Music] [Music] Her attitude is so bizarre because it seems like she has an awful life and she’s been gifted this like amazing exit from it with this creature that is just filling her life with these gadgets and this possibility. and this hope for something else, but she just doesn’t want to acknowledge it in any way. It’s so it’s it’s hard to unpack. This was super heavy. I’m now completely anxious around this dog. [Music] Fore. [Music] How can you say you don’t believe in magic when you’ve literally got this [ __ ] thing in front of you that’s flying around, has all these different abilities? Like, that should be enough, right? This thing is real. Believe in it at least. Wait. [Music] So when she mentioned Taki smelling earlier, that was that was because of an emotion. What happened to her when she said she got into a fight into a friend? Who was she talking about? I thought her only friend was a dog. Did she get into a fight with the dog? What’s going on? What the [ __ ] is going on? Is she lying? [Music] Back. Bye-bye. I feel sick. I feel I actually feel sick. [Music] Oh no. Oh no. I got such a bad feeling, man. I feel like I want to be sick. At least if it was like poorly animated, I could be like, “Well, the animation is awful.” But no, is is is beautifully showing me how [ __ ] horrific this all is. [Music] I’m walking alone. ここ最近で一番心に響いたリアクションでした。カットしてしまうと空気感などが変わってしまうと思ったので、あえてカットしていない部分があります。

いろんなリアクションを見たけど、実際に子供がいる人のリアクションを見てみたかったので辛い経験だっただろうけど見せてもらえてよかった。

現実にある話だからこそ綺麗事で逃げない。真っ向から問題作を提示してくれた作者さんに感謝を。この作品はただの視聴体験で済まなくて、多くの議論を巻き起こすから素晴らしいんだよね。
