When I saw the title of this anime, I got triggered cuz I immediately saw New Gate. Oh, if you’ve seen New Gate the anime, you know why I be triggered, man. But it’s not like that. And this anime apparently is like an OG series that deals with regression and they’re adapting it. So, I don’t know. I’m just here to check it out. And if you guys are into it, we can watch the rest of the episodes. Let’s check out today’s episode, though. humans. Elves, they’re the good people. Oh, then there’s the bad people. I thought it was going to get Tibeta animation treatment. Another pleasant surprise. Things are moving. I know that this is a low bar, but like for animes like this that my my my standard has its non-existence due to the amount of slob Japan puts out. But hey, let’s go. We back. Okay, the first the intro of this episode so far, um the story it’s meh, right? I I I I think it’s pretty standard, right? It’s not like this is something unique or something too crazy, but it’s fine. I care about the execution of it. And the execution of it, I think, was pretty damn solid. The animation quality again, it’s blowing my expectations. I really thought that we were going to get a PowerPoint presentation type of anime, you know, one of those fantasy, you know, shows, but nah, it is it it’s it’s pleasant. I hope it’s not a catfish and that, you know, quality of this is going to keep like this because obviously the first impressions, you want to, you know, keep people engaged and stuff like that. But the story so far is of a guy who’s pretty much sacrificed everything to save the world, but at what cost? And now he gets a second chance to, I guess, redo things, but this time do it better. No character death in the party, huh? Something like that. I’m expecting how long will it take for him to realize Oh Jesus. That’s what’s going to happen if we don’t save the day. All his friends. No. No. He’s just happy. Happy tears. No, he still thinks it’s a dream. That blush though. Realize [Music] why? What? I thought we’re having an intimate emotional moment. I don’t know. I feel like it’d be a lot more fun if some things still happen the way that Kyle envisioned or lived through, but then there’s like twists to it, right? It’d be a bit too boring if he’s like, “Oh, this is going to happen, so we’re going to perfectly care for it.” If if it starts to deviate from that original timeline, that’d be pretty fun. I just want you to put yourself in the shoes of Le for a second because right now all we hear is hype music building up and then you know Kyle like monologuing the entire time to build up to this. Leis is probably thinking this guy’s a [ __ ] skitso. Bro, what are you talking about? My fate. I’ll change my fate. [Music] All right, bro. Okay, that was pretty tuny, though, huh? And that’s the first episode of New Saga. Post credit scene. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Postredit. What if he forgets [ __ ] man? That’d be so troll that like he has bad memories, so he like forgets little details that [ __ ] him over. I don’t know. You got three years, right? Got to like prevent the invasion. Imagine he procrastinates. That’d be the most realistic thing ever. Bro has three years and he decides, “Ah, you know what? I don’t want to chill. I don’t want to do anything.” He’s like, “Oh no, the invasion’s coming.” He just ruins everything. That’d be the most realistic thing. Like so many people would do the exact same thing, man. Procrastination. You give people a timeline, they’ll wait to the last [ __ ] moment to do it. Okay. You need powerful friends, man. You already know them. Go collect them. If his powers carried over, I don’t know. Is he still as strong as, you know, the hero self, Kyle, from the intro scene? I don’t know. And there it is. The first episodes of new saga. Better than I expected. Way better than I expected. I just expected some generic midstory, which it is a pretty generic midstory so far, but again, it’s not a bad thing, right? These kind of regression fantasy stuff. Oh, there’s good people. They’re the people blessed by the good goddess of light, and there’s bad people, demons, and they’re fighting, and now his bro is coming back and trying to prevent everything. Not a crazy unique plotline, but again, doesn’t matter. I care about the execution of these tropes or different, you know, genres. And I think the first episode is like a solid 7 to a 7.5 out of 10. It is way better than I expected. The fight scenes are actually moving and the Sakuga moments were pretty hype. The soundtrack also, I think, delivered some funny slice of life moments and the etchy scenes. Yeah. Yeah. Some anime fan service. And I want to look forward to what Kyle’s going to do to prevent stuff from happening. And I feel like if they execute the, you know, the strategy well and they can keep us engaged, this could be a really fun anime to keep watching. But again, at the end of the day, it don’t matter unless you guys watch. So, hey, I’ll put it out there and see how it performs.
