City The Animation Episode 1 Reaction – CITY THE ANIMATION 1話 海外の反応

What is up guys? Back in today with another reaction on the channel. Today I’ll be reacting to the first episode of City the Animation. Um I’m slightly familiar with the author’s whatever works. I think his name is Ki Ara or something along those lines. Um K hour something like that. I only actually recently watched uh Nichi Joe maybe three or four months ago. I finished that. So um pretty fresh off his uh one of his works. Um I think he has got a another work called Helvitica Standard which was I think a part of Nichi Joe but is like a separate entity I think. Um no idea what to expect here but I do assume the humor might be the same and it is going to be another comedy focused anime. So I’m looking forward to it. I absolutely love Nichi Joe especially um Hackay. I absolutely loved her segments before that. Absolutely hilarious and adorable. So hopefully this will be similar. Uh let me know what you guys think about this one though down in the comment section. Should be illegal that sleep while flying. That a weird restriction. Wow. Reversing this I say it already looks incredible, doesn’t it? Jesus. [ __ ] hell. That looks incredible. In it having kind of certain style. There’s so much going on in that shot. It’s crazy. Here’s the opening. I did notice it’s almost a 30 minute episode, which is really cool. Don’t see much that nowadays. I um to be honest, I really should have looked uh at the studio behind this, but um yeah, I should have looked really. I think that’s the same studio that done Joe. So, we’re in good hands. I think. with cowboy boots on. What is that called? I think it’s called an America boo of Japanese people. That’s the same as mine. Not that I care. a bad way to start. Uh really awesome opening that honestly probably one of I haven’t actually seen too many openings. A lot of the shows that I watched there in the season didn’t show the opening in the first episode, but that’s certainly one of the best of the ones I’ve seen for sure. I really like that. Really upbeat and nice. I just leave like that. Yeah. Makabe family. Western cuisine. I think you got to wear it, bro. Put on under your trousers, bro. Like it. Good point. Are you Does that mean you’re telling him to eat these this skirt though? Not exactly an equivalent, but yeah, there’s much more in line for sure. And to be fair, if he’s working like he’s already if he’s working behind the kind of counter, no one will see. Oh my god. All good. Oh, for [ __ ] sake. The cameras are out. Got to get a good shot, get a good sound of it. Honest, I could imagine, obviously I don’t wear skirts, but um I imagine that should be quite nice to wear while playing football. It would be quite freeing. I sometimes have a really annoying issue with the pants I wear. Sometimes with football sometimes they’re too tight and it’s it’s really you got to alter it quite a lot and it’s really annoying to do when you’re trying to play a football match. So, as with Niti Joe, inevitably you’re going to have to bear with me for some of the jokes because sometimes in that show a lot of them were very Japanese-based. I’m lost in translation. I was always wondering what the dub must be like for a show like this. Must be very interesting to try and replicate those jokes in a a sense that dub viewers could understand. Seems a bit of an impossible task. a romantic. Oh [ __ ] Oh, nice. A joint victory. The hell’s that thing? A rabbit cat. Is that dowsing? They called dowsing machines. Never understood what they what they actually do. something to do with like the vibrations or something. [ __ ] hell. That’s cheap. Isn’t that like 10p? Incredibly cheap. Oh, it’s g again. You got to say this has looked pretty damn incredible so far, hasn’t I don’t ever wear sandals or anything like those cuz Yeah. Just going to leave it there. I guess so. Nice little present for when he gets home. He’s got to put his uh tablet in It’s a strange reaction. Oh, yeah. Very famous. Oh, for [ __ ] sake. Look like he killed the bastard. Oh my god. Got another one in there. Poor [ __ ] guy. At least he’s got two bowls of nice ramen to enjoy from his uh tablet case. So, who the [ __ ] this guy? The [ __ ] was that? That’s miracle this guy’s alive. By the way, look at that hole. Yeah, I appreciate that. Appreciate where this gestures come from. gestures. You get a clap. This guy is in that room. Uh, let’s not his bag. Wow. It might have been a bit overkill cuz that guy’s got a case for his tablet and a bag. It’s like double protection, but it was just the case. Are they useless? Let’s What is the deal with this old man? He’s getting brutalized again. Not awfully surprised actually. You dead. That is spirit rising up to the clouds. ink in tell you what I always liked was the smell of petrol. I always quite liked going to the um garage so smell that don’t know why it just feels I don’t How to describe it? Invasive. Well, if you eat it, maybe if you eat that thing, maybe it will take you away. This guy’s got so much stuff, hasn’t she? Oh, what the hell? That’s incredible. Incredible balance. Bloody hell. This girl is hard to deal with. is a lot. So what are those things called? I see them so so much. Oh, there is like a base stamp card. She’s a lovely girl. She’s a lot, but she’s lovely. Understandable. That’s the thing that the top bit is kind of like a prelude to the rest. It’s just little taster and then you get the the big load for lack of a better term. I say you got pretty good taste. She knows how to uh to sooth herself. Like I said though, she feels like she’d be a lot to deal with. She’s like one of those people that make those videos of like satisfying like things like cutting things and and that kind of stuff. should be a good YouTuber. I still crying over their manga. Why is the floors not like that at 1 cm kind of water level right now? It’s coming. The idea is coming. Give it a few more hours. probably for the best of what we’ve seen. Probably for the best. No point dragging this out. broccoli. That’s even weirder. the charger for it. That’s how you get That’s how they get you in the drug game, honestly. They give you like free samples and then they’re like next next time like they give you some more and then like oh you got to pay for it this time. Good [ __ ] question. Is that realistic? I feel like every time I’ve even tried give him Well, I know it’s different. It’s a dog, but every time I try to give my dog any kind of vegetable or fruit, I’ve never accepted. I feel like I’ve never seen cats eat fruit or vegetables either. should be fine. I mean, that recent 28 Years Later movie was shot with a load of iPhone cameras. I believe some of the shots in that movie They’re awfully serious. I guess we know what our specialtity is. Should be good for some adverts to be fair. Some cooking adverts maybe. broad. A little bit more specific than that. What we need though that You appreciate this mindset. That was wholesome, wasn’t it? some interesting relationships going on already in this um with them being more kind of adult slightly more again adult focused rather than uh obviously Nichi Joe is more school focused okay good first episode visually looks incredible comedy is really good again as I mentioned inevitably there’s going to be things I miss out on and don’t understand cuz I’m not Japanese. This animated or is this claimation we’re seeing here? I think it’s animated. Yeah, I think it is animated. Be pretty damn incredible if it isn’t. I do love a bit of clay claymation. I’ve spoke about before on the channel, not during this series, but um we had a lesson once in primary school about uh claymation animation and like stop motion animation and stuff. And that was one of my favorite kind of ever lessons. Got to make our own. And uh there was like a website we could put all the pictures on and it like process it into like a 20 second little movie or something. Pretty easy animation. Okay. Really, really fun first episode. That’s kind of expected. Um I expect like I’ve only seen one other of this author’s works, but just based purely off that I kind of expect like a certain level of quality. Um, and this is very much very much meets that. Um, some really funny moments in here. Again, I really like the character relationships and the circumstances they’re in. As I said, it feels a bit more older. Feels like the characters are in work and they’re kind of there was one little school segment here, but we’ve got like a failing manga here. Not not failing, but a manga could kind of stuck for ideas. This kind of work environment here. Got this 20-year-old very pure lady. It was really nice. Um, and yeah, just feels slightly more mature on that kind of level. Um, obviously the comedy is very similar, but in a kind of setting kind of case. Um, honestly, I think the one of the the first shot of this show was absolutely immense, wasn’t it? This opening shot with the town. Incredible just how much was going on in this. You could This is almost like a a Where’s Wally page. You could look at this for absolutely ages and just find new things. I did want to go back to this. Like, what a shot to start things off for your show here. Just look at just I’m not sure if the breathability is the right word, but just like everything in this shot is just awesome. Everywhere you look, the motion of it, everything. There’s not any kind of They didn’t skimp out on anything in it. It’s even got the old man, the little spy man in the corner up there who died. Um, I imagine every character in here in this, we’ve seen a few of them today. We saw the police guy, we saw the girl. Uh, we see here, um, see the the mangar the cap on. We see the working girl. We saw at the end there. We see the working boy in the alleyway here. Um, think we might see her sister on the left there. See the old man who got his head dented. And we see the old man on the the top left here. A few characters obviously we haven’t met yet. Yeah, what a what a shot this is. That is incredible. Um, yeah, really good episode today. Like I said, the humor was great. Uh, very much get Nichy Joe vibes. Um, little bit less kind of silly, I’d say. I mean, it still is silly, don’t get me wrong, but a little bit less kind of silly and more kind of a little bit more grown up, but um, still a really awesome humor. I think my favorite segment was uh, was hard to say to be honest. There’s a few really good segments. I really like this segment with the noodles in the bag. Um, I didn’t enjoy this school segment awfully much, but I think that’s because I didn’t really fully get my head around it to be honest with you. The skirt segment was fun. Um, there was a lot of segments. Uh, this segment I really enjoyed. It was really adorable. Her seeing her take out all these kind of little things, these little kind of anxious kind of fiddly things I thought was really cool. These superstitions and so on. That was great. Um, and this to end off was really cool as well. Quite a wholesome way. Uh, not too much comedy in there, but yeah, thank you guys for watching again. Really awesome start.
