I want to show you one of the biggest examples of it, you can see [music] Good morning and welcome back to another new blog, I am Ansh and right now I am in Bhutan country, around 15 km from Thimpu city, there is an area called Chujom, where I have just arrived today and today from here we are going to travel to Paro district, which is around 50 km from Shilpur city and in this video, we are going to see Paro city, I have just arrived at a place which is called Chujom Sujam, in Bhutanese language, it is called Sangam, so why is it called Sangam, you can see, the river that is flowing from Thimpu side is called Wangchu River and the river that is flowing from Paro district, which you are seeing on this side, is called Pachu River, the place where these two meet, this is the meeting place, which is called Chujom, i.e. Sangam and from here, this river flows forward in this direction It looks like a river flowing out of the river, this is a Nepali stupa, that is, it is built in Nepalese style, the second one that you can see, where you will see three, is built in Ladakh style, the third one which is seen in yellow colour is a Tibetan style stupa here and the last one that you can see is a Bhutanese style stupa and the main purpose of building these four stupas is to represent prosperity, so this is a place guys where it connects four different districts, so from this side we have come to Thimpu district, if we go here then Chhoga district which connects Finsulin, this area, see this road, there is a board also installed, it connects Har district and if we go from the right hand side here, it will connect Paro district, the river plays a very important role for the entire country of Bhutan, there are two hydro powers, I think Tal hydro power, if I am not wrong and Chhoja, which is their district near Finsulin, it will also be connected. This supplies water. Look, a very cute gate has been built here and here also there is a photo of the Majestic King, who is the present king of Bhutan, with his wife. I will zoom in and show you. A prayer wheel has been made on this side and even today, friend, the weather is very lovely, cloudy. Look, a little drizzle has started here. In a way, a control post, check point has also been made here, it is very cute, very beautiful. Look, a prayer wheel has been built here and there is a board ahead, so we have already come 15 to 20 kms to here. Right now, Paro is showing 25 to 30 kms from here [Music] So guys, finally welcome to Paro city, that is, the capital of Paro district, you can also call it, so it is around 2:00 in the afternoon. My hotel is also somewhere here, where we are going to stay. So, it looks very beautiful, a very cute town friend. Paru, you can see this. We have stopped in the downtown area of Paro , this is our vehicle, it is lunch time now, so let’s go and eat something. My guide here told me that the momos here are quite famous, so it is written Momo Corner, let’s see, I think a lot of local people also come here to eat and drink, so let’s see how the momos would taste here, for now, look at this, look in front, Jhol Momo is also written, that is one shop, apart from this there are a lot of shops here, you will find a lot of restaurants here, apart from this one, the one above is written The TSA Restaurant, Paro Town, apart from this one, it is written Momo Corner. [Music] This is it, you can see, this is the I think singing area here where all these local people are sitting, so let me show you the menu here, you see, there is a table in it, there is momo corner, there are all the different varieties of momos, brother, and it is written The Taste of Home Momo, so beef momo, beef jhol momo, vegetable steam with soup, vegetable fry with soup , vegetable jhol, if you want to take different varieties of noodles etc. then that too will be available, and there are drinks, there are cold drinks, so guys, this is our momo, which has come like this, so it is of the jhol momo type, so anyway, there is steam momo as well, you see, if you want to eat normal food, there are different things in it as well, the soup which is good, isn’t it, friend, so guys, this was the momo corner where I ate momo, that is, jhol momo and veg chowmein , and along with my brother Kamal, we both had lunch here, so the bill came to around Rs. 450, Rs. 480, a Bhutanese Newtram means the price of the same India, so lunch is over now, from here we are thinking that there is Paro Fort here, so let’s go and see Paro Fort, so guys, after having lunch, it ‘s around 3:00 in the afternoon and now I have come to see Paro Fort which is called Ripung Zhong, so this is its main part from where this fort looks very beautiful, you can see it, friend, it is considered a rich cultural heritage of a very historical country Bhutan, this Paro Fort which is known by different names like Paro Fort Paro Zhong Ripung Zhong, so here the meaning of Zhong is fort, friend, there are 20 districts in the whole of Bhutan, I told you, so you will definitely get to see a fort in every district and the purpose of every fort was for administrative office, that is, all the administrative government related work of that district used to happen in that fort, so even today, all the administrative government related work in the whole of Bhutan is done in that fort. There are 20 districts, in all those districts you will find a dzong or fort like this and inside that fort you will see the government bodies working there, they have their offices etc. So this is the whole view from outside, it is very lovely, it is called a very traditional and spiritual fort, so let’s go inside and have a darshan first , then after that I am going to explain its complete history to you, see here there is a flag like this, it is a very big flag, there are all the religious places here, I might have already told you that the Kani, Male etc. which are worn here, so this is mandatory for the local people, especially all the Bhutanese, they can enter this entire temple, religious place, fortress, government building only after wearing a Kapni, so you can see the entire entry gate is very lovely, very beautiful, this gate looks very lovely, I mean look at its design and its wall. Etc. is quite big, so guys , we have just come inside this Rimpung Dzong, i.e. Paro Fort, which is also called so, as I told you there are two sections here, firstly, the founder of Bhutan, Sharpdung, actually built it in 1646, but it has just been renovated, before that this entire place used to be just a small part, but later when it was modified, as I told you, the founder of Bhutan, literally, got it completely repaired, it was built during his time, i.e. around 16th century, you will get to see two parts, firstly, one is the religious place where people go and all these Buddhists, their bodies, which are district wise, practice their religious faith there for worship, etc. and along with that there is also a school, so similarly, this Paro Fort also has a school here, so all the Buddhists of Paro district This is the Mook Body, this is their religious place as well, it is also a school where education is imparted and along with that the administrative office of Paro district is all here, all these buildings that you must be seeing, these small rooms, in all these rooms, there are offices of the administrative offices of Paro district, different government departments, so in this one there are only mocks, in all of these also there are mocks in different parts, so see, there are different sections, stairs are made like this, in this part there are different rooms in everything, I think this is the first such place till now where we do not have an entry fee, otherwise, in all such forts that you go to, you have to pay a minimum of 500 or 1000 Botanical Nutram entry fee and one The important thing is that whenever you come here, you should come in proper clothes because if you come wearing half t-shirts or shorts, then you will not get entry here. People who rotate the air wheels by hand, you always have to rotate them clockwise. So you have to keep all this in mind. This is the main temple, this is the part inside, so even here cameras and video photos etc. are allowed, otherwise I cannot take you inside, but look here, there is a bell here too, so guys, I have just come out after visiting this temple, so inside, there is a statue of Lord Gautam Buddha in his kingly state, that is, the time when he used to be a king. Basically, the statue is there exactly like the crown that used to be placed on his head earlier, and along with that , whenever you go to any such religious place in the whole country of Bhutan, then you will understand the three most important things, first of all, Lord Buddha, his statue and along with that, Guru Rampoche. Who spread Buddhism in the entire country of Bhutan and brought Buddhism there and the third person is Shabdam who is also called the Founder of Bhutan, so Guru Rampoche means the one who brought Buddhism to Bhutan and Shabdam who is called the Founder of Buddha, Bhutan, so these two and along with that Lord Buddha, in all the forts, all the religious places, stupas, which are related to Buddhism, you will find them like this everywhere, along with some other things inside them, I saw small statues of Lord Gautam Buddha and along with that all the Buddhists who spread and promoted the Buddhist culture in the entire country of Bhutan from different times, all their statues are kept inside there, some inside here, as I told you that along with this entire administrative office, there is also a school here, all the Buddhists who live here in this district, they are also given education here, so because of this, you saw many people sitting inside that I I could not show it to them but I saw a lot of people chanting there because my guide also told me that all these monks here, their religious or spiritual studies are done here, so just like we do graduation in 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, similarly these monks also study here, religious studies are done and they have proper exams etc. and all these people then go to all such stupas, big temples in Buddhism religion and do puja there and then at different places, if there are festivals, rituals or in this way, they are called to such stupas where new ones have been built, so just like here in our Hindu religion, you see people doing puja, you will see people doing similar experience here, so this entire fort is actually situated on the opposite side of Paro city and guys inside this fort The two most important events that have happened are, first, the marriage of the third king of Bhutan took place here and in 1993, a movie called Little Buddha was shot, so some scenes and parts of it were recorded here, but the marriage of the third king is also said to have taken place inside this fort. So, these two most important events represent the entire fort in the present time. At present, this entire spiritual part outside the fort [Music] So guys, this is the main Paro Fort and the view of the entire Paro city from this Paro Fort is very lovely and beautiful. So, this is the entire small Paro city. You can see the view of the entire Paro town. Around 11,000 people only live in this entire area. If we talk about the entire district, the population of the entire Paro district would be around 35,000. So, whatever area you are seeing around here, it is actually a field area because it is also called the bowl of rice. So because of this, here you will get to see all the paddy fields because rice is cultivated here. There are some small villages nearby. Here, the main Paro town is visible in the front and if I show you this section around it a little further, say 4 to 5 km or 10 km, if I go a little further, then there are different small villages like this. Rest of these small houses that can be seen on the hill above Paro town, all these small different villages will be seen here. Rest of Paro city is also known for its agriculture, I mean, the entire city is known for its agriculture as well. It is a district, but it is a very small city but it is very beautiful and the most popular historical tourist landmark of Paro is the Tiger Nest Monastery or the one which is called Takshang Monastery, so here hiking is done, it takes around 3 to 4 hours, so I am going to show you that in tomorrow’s video, but see from here, this river is flowing along and this whole beautiful Paro city looks very nice, friend, coming here, it means it feels like coming to a village in a remote area, in the middle of the mountain, this whole village and this whole city of Paro is completely settled, some people have even built houses on the top of the mountain, friend, if you go anywhere in Bhutan, the forest is not going to leave you, the greenery is not going to leave you, so the main distance of Paros city from this fort is around 5 km, this is the landmark, here some children are playing football, they have come from school Hey, they have got a holiday, how are you? Hey brother, he is shouting a lot friend, yes, it is like this, what is there to do? What is there to do? Is there a holiday from school? Brother, brother, look, all the children have kept their bags here. This is their tiffin. Brother, look, yes, where are you playing football? Brother, look there, he is climbing. Brother, where are you going by climbing up? Let it be, it will take time. So, we have visited the fort as well. Now, let’s go to Paro town and keep our luggage etc. in the hotel and roam around Paro town a bit. Let’s see what all we get to see inside that city. Government Scholarship Government Scholarship wa nice I really wish you good luck and very bright future live etc. also done rest like this all the snacks items brothers are available here cutin chhi sorry cutin chhi I am trying to learn thank you thank you so much yes thank you wow friend it was fun I introduced you to Laxmi ji and Radhika ji who have their own experience in India I have come back in front of my hotel so here many such eating joints have been made in front of food and drinks see Yangki Enterprise this is a complete shop where all the utensils which are used in the kitchen at home are available here look here also Blue Moon Vivo mobile and repair and service Samsung showrooms etc. are present here a lot of mobile related items can be seen here main Paro town’s market is the oldest vegetable and fruit market that one in front so let’s go and see what is the atmosphere inside it How are the vegetables etc. Oh friend, look grandma is coming here carrying vegetables on her shoulder, let’s start the market once, wow, look in this section, there are so many fruits, almost 90% fruits, all of them brother, the counters have been allocated from India, then they have set up their shops here, wow friend, this is found here, mop pumpkin is found here sir, well this is also found here and this one is also from here, this is also good, the main vegetables and fruits market, so this section is so I think there are four lanes in total, one, two, one at the back, three on this side, if we go to that side of grocery, then there is a little bit of fruits etc. there is some fish there, some meat items, eggs etc., cheese, paneer, butter, that is the segment, if we go a little further then there is another section, see this coriander etc. brother, it has such a strong fresh smell, the smell of coriander is coming, isn’t it because it is local here, look friend, these beans etc., these beans are local here and there is chilli here The grains of it also come shelled separately, rest of these are all the spices, see, this is coriander, this is corn, this is pumpkin seed, they are available here, rest of the packets are like this, see, grandma is sitting comfortably here and selling all the items, rest, for growing the vegetables, there are seeds etc. of all these different vegetables as well, you can see how many different types of all these incense sticks are kept here and all this is used for puja rituals, oh spices, these are also incense, sir ji, well incense sticks, powder, so see, this whole thing is kept in raw form, that is, in wood form and this is its dried powder form also All the incense sticks are there and it is so fresh and strong, the fragrance is very strong, very strong, I think this is Didi’s shop, hello, Namaste, this is your shop, okay, your shop is that, oh brother, look, I liked one thing so much, now you think, this is just I think, I just saw the only one, from one shop to five shops, brother, the shopkeeper is not visible at all, that means there is so much trust factor here, now you think, I told you how safe Bhutan is, you can guess from this that there is no one at the shop, the shopkeeper is the one who owns the shop and in this way, four to five shops operate here on the trust of one person, that means I want to show you one of the biggest examples of why Bhutan is considered crime free, you can see, but see, the whole shop is lying empty, so this is the loyalty of Bhutan, which you will be able to experience in Bhutan, the rest was this, the view of the entire market, very lovely, clean and good, do you know what you found in the entire market? See, firstly it is so organised, secondly it is so clean and hygienic, it is neat and systematic and very peaceful and now look at the evening time, the whole place is cloudy but the sky is almost not as blue as it should be, rest there is a little parking, I think this is completely a park type, look some people are cycling here, wow, friend, I also came to know that this entire Paro city, the entire development inside the Paro city in terms of infrastructure, roads etc., all these buildings, all this happened during the time of the third king of Bhutan country, that is, he had focused on the development of Paro city and through out the entire Paro district and here brother, I think almost 90% of the tourists I see in Paro are Indians and around 10% are foreigners and among the foreigners also there is a mix from different countries, rest of the tourists from India are coming here at this time because it is holiday time right now. So because of this you are seeing a lot of Indian tourists here and especially this will stay only for one to one and a half months, after that the footfall of Indian tourists here will reduce drastically, my guide told me, see grandma, they are selling local strawberries here, I think they have brought them from home and they are selling them here in a local way, from the market, so this local Bhutanese friend, it is like lassi, buttermilk, something like that, I think this is desi, absolutely pure, pure 80 80 nutrum and this strawberry of 150 150 150 nutrum fresh, grandma is telling that this strawberry of 150 nutrum, which she has brought from her farm, see, she has brought it in a bucket full, absolutely fresh, fresh, yes , she has kept it here like this, good anyone, good, okay, give me this one, so this is a packet of 150 Bhutan notrum, grandma is saying so Let’s take it, thank you, thank you so much. I gave cash to grandma, and grandma returned the cash to me, but grandma also has her own scanner code, brother; grandma also accepts online payments; I took the strawberries; rest, look at this, there are many of them here; if you want to purchase souvenirs etc., like, look at this, it is written in front, Heritage Souvenirs, so this is it; take almost all from here, I think, however far you go, if you want to purchase souvenirs etc., then you can purchase them here; rest, I saw a shop here, let’s go and see if fridge magnets etc. are also available here; hello, namaste, oh these people are eating food, right now I think maybe hello, hello, how are you, oh she is feeling shy, this too, oh thank you, thank you, so this is a cute shop, friend; let’s see a little here as well, fridge magnets etc., so if you want to purchase all the stuff related to souvenirs, be it clothes, bags etc., of Lord Buddha The statue is a statue, Bhutan country is written on it, the flag is Tigerness Monastery, wow, caring, etc., all these items are very cute, all of them, so guys, I had to buy a magnet from this shop, I was checking out fridge magnets and other items and I liked only one fridge magnet, which was being sold for around 100 Botanical Notes here, so I purchased that from the previous shop, I purchased strawberries from grandma’s shop, now let’s see a little more and roam around this town, see if we get to see some good things and more nice souvenirs, then we will purchase them, the rest I am already showing you the whole town. And look, the town is quite small, I have come back in front of my hotel, so guys, what you can see in front of you, this is the Paro Fort, where I had taken you, which is called Ripung Dzong, it is very lovely, as the lighting is happening, it looks very beautiful, friend, the rest of this whole place, I think, is a little ground type area, where people can also call it the downtown area, and the main round square area here is where people come and do some shopping, sit, etc., just now after coming out of these souvenir shops, I found a Pani Puri shop, friend, I thought that after coming to Bhutan, I should also try the local Pani Puri once, so the Puris here are quite big, anyway, I had shown you in the market, but I have just come to a shop, and look, this is the local Bhutanese Pani Puri, this is local from here, and what is it made of, flour or semolina, semolina, oh look, it is very big. It is quite puffed up friend and now this is their shop look at this, chola matar chaat puri dahi puri coffee veg momo pani puri this is their small cute shop the song arrangement here is also proper if you want to sit and eat then you can eat so I thought let’s try Pani Puri once first so friend see this brother our Pani Puri which is Puchka look here it has filling with potatoes so they have added potato and onion mix the rest of the water is here like this this is a Pichkari type bottle like this look they keep it refilled so you can eat it by putting it in it so let me try it once how is it do you have to press it right yes sir press it oh here it is friend one this Puri is made of semolina so the crunchiness of semolina is coming in the whole mouth good taste is great you can try it in Bhutan so brother I think the shop is quite popular see all the local people also brother all the fans of Pani Puri who have come here to eat hello hello brother So you guys love Pani Puri how much you love 100% Oh my God so look at this, I also liked the taste of Pani Puri a lot and look at this here I think Pakdi etc. Paratha etc. everything is served here so which city you like Thipu like Paro Punaka Fishing and any other city which city you guys like a lot Thimpu Thimpu friend why do you like Thimpu because Thimpu is the best place to stay and there it is any it’s a big city big city that’s why you like the city it’s way easy for us to get everything get things so five people are going to order a plate of five pooches ok guys enjoy yaar take care bye-b wow so this is the view of Paro city at night time so just now we have eaten Pani Puri here and I think it was 60 natram i.e. ₹60 per plate of Pani Puri brother is this a horse or a mule see here in the city like this Paro I got to see this in the town , you see brother , one, two, three are going here in a line, because in Paro I told you that when we go to Tigerness Monastery up there, then there will be a lot of mules there too, so because of that I think that all these people must be living in the lower part here, in the nearby village area, the name of the shop in front is Ravi Meat Shop, Chicken, Pork, Fish, Mutton, all these things will be available here, brother, so we called and asked the two most popular clubs here right now, then they said that there is no crowd right now, you should come after 9:00 pm, then you will get a good crowd because today is Friday, so on Fridays, in both Timo and Paro, people come out here for hang out like this, brother, for party, so guys this was my overall experience of today, which was quite good, so I hope you guys must have enjoyed the whole video, so whatever you liked the video, please share your feedback by going to the comment below and for live status, you can follow me on Facebook and Instagram and if you want, thanks.
