■ Introduction
Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero, is preparing for the imminent resurrection of the Four Holy Beasts—especially the Phoenix. In doing so, he faces off against and reconciles with the other Three Heroes, uniting their powers.
However, due to a misunderstanding, Raphtalia is perceived as having the intention to inherit a royal throne—leading assassins from the nation of Q’ten Lo to target her life.
To resolve this crisis, Naofumi travels to the Demi-Human nation of Siltvelt, the only place with a working ferry to Q’ten Lo. There, he is warmly welcomed by demi-humans who worship the Shield Hero—but not everyone is friendly.
Meanwhile, political instability rocks Q’ten Lo, and Raphtalia finds herself being used as a revolutionary symbol.
Amid the deepening chaos, can Naofumi shine as a guiding light for his companions?
