    Okay but Rise Splinter is a hear me out-

    I used to be obsessed with the 2012 series for a good while but I dropped off it after like halfway through the shows run for some reason I don’t entirely remember. The same can be said for my thoughts on it as I’ve pretty much forgotten most of what I saw but I remember the style being neat (I agree those human designs feel like they’re from a show a decade prior ew) and there’s some ongoing plot beats that kept me fairly engaged

    This video also reminded me I’ve yet to see Rise of the TMNT in full and I need to change that as I love the style of that show so much it rocks

    I am a fan of the original series and the 1990 movie. But I believe the best Turtles and Splinter are from 2012, and the best April and Casey are from 2003 series. I wish we had a combination of these two.
    But nooo… They had to change the TMNT even more "neoliberalized" each time.
    I know they had to target 12-years old of each decade. And that's why they need to change the core characters to target those children. OK, I get it.
    But at least try to respect old fans from previous generations, and let them enjoy the new series by carrying the older aspects to the new series.
    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse made this perfectly.
    As a fan of 80s and 90s Spider-Man, I feel respected while watching that movie. And I can still taste fresh ideas with Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen.
    I don't believe it is THAT hard to do.
