Donatello becomes frustrated in using his Bō-Staff against to fight the technologically-advanced Kraang, and decides to upgrade himself. Using a stole Kraang android, he creates Metalhead; a remote-controlled robot turtle to fight in his place. Donatello sends Metalhead out with the Turtles when April discovers the Kraang’s plan to poison New York’s water supply with mutagen, although Metalhead soon falls under the Kraang’s control when they realize it is made from their technology. With Splinter’s guidance, Donatello manages to defeat Metalhead and foil the Kraang’s plot, but still remains determined to upgrade his weaponry.
