Here’s the full version of my cover of “Yuuki ga Areba” /「勇気があれば」, the opening theme of the ‘90s anime Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba (剣勇伝説YAIBA)! I’ve wanted to sing this for so long, and with the upcoming remake, YAIBA: Samurai Legend (真・侍伝 YAIBA), coming this April 2025 or should I say, today?! I knew it was finally time. 🐼✨
Yaiba actually aired here in the Philippines in the ’90s, but sadly, I never got to watch it because it was on a network with a weak signal in our area. I think that was the first time I, and probably most ‘90s kids here in the Philippines ever heard the word “Yaiba.”
Funny story: A few years ago, when people were talking about Kimetsu no Yaiba, I had no clue what it was and thought they meant Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba! 😅 At anime cons and even with my friends, I legit thought they were bringing back the OG Yaiba. I felt sooo old when I realized it wasn’t what they were talking about. 😂
But when I heard last year that Yaiba is really getting a remake, I got super excited!! I hope it ends up on a streaming service I already use~ ‘cause yeah… another subscription? Please no~ 😂🙏
Hope this cover brings back some nostalgia and hypes you up for the remake of this underrated gem! 🐼✨

こちらは、90年代アニメ『剣勇伝説YAIBA』のオープニングテーマ「勇気があれば」のフルカバーです！ずっと歌いたかったこの曲、そして2025年4月（もしくは…今日！？）にリメイク作品『YAIBA: Samurai Legend（真・侍伝 YAIBA）』が登場するということで、今こそ歌うタイミングだと思いました！🐼✨
『YAIBA』は90年代にフィリピンでも放送されていましたが、残念ながら私の地域では電波が弱くて見ることができませんでした。たぶん「YAIBA」という言葉を初めて知ったのは、当時の私やフィリピンの90年代キッズたちだったと思います。
面白い話なんですが、数年前に「鬼滅の刃」が話題になった時、私は全然知らなくて、「剣勇伝説YAIBA」のことかと思っちゃいました！😅 アニメイベントや友達との会話でも「YAIBAが帰ってくるの!?」って本気で思ってたんです。でも違うと気づいて、めっちゃ恥ずかしかったし、すごく年取った気分に（笑）😂
でも昨年、本当に『YAIBA』がリメイクされると聞いて、めちゃくちゃ嬉しかったです！できれば、すでに契約してるストリーミングサービスで観られますように…もうこれ以上サブスク増やしたくない〜😂🙏

Aqui está a versão completa do meu cover de "Yuuki ga Areba" /「勇気があれば」, tema de abertura do anime dos anos 90 Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba (剣勇伝説YAIBA)! Eu queria cantar essa música há muito tempo, e com o remake YAIBA: Samurai Legend (真・侍伝 YAIBA) estreando agora em abril de 2025 (ou devo dizer… hoje?!), senti que esse era o momento certo! 🐼✨
Yaiba foi exibido aqui nas Filipinas nos anos 90, mas infelizmente eu nunca consegui assistir, pois passava em um canal com sinal fraco na minha região. Acho que foi a primeira vez que eu – e provavelmente a maioria das crianças dos anos 90 por aqui~ ouvi a palavra “Yaiba”.
História engraçada: alguns anos atrás, quando o pessoal começou a falar de Kimetsu no Yaiba, eu não fazia ideia do que era e achei que estavam falando de Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba! 😅 Em convenções de anime e até com meus amigos, eu realmente pensei que estavam trazendo de volta o Yaiba original. Me senti tão velha quando percebi que não era disso que estavam falando 😂
Mas no ano passado, quando soube que o Yaiba dos anos 90 ia mesmo ganhar um remake, fiquei super empolgada!! Espero que chegue em algum serviço de streaming que eu já assino… porque né, mais uma assinatura? Por favor não~ 😂🙏
