Became boring after a while, same "oh no, it's impossible! He can't do it. " To "Impossible he did it?" No explanation on how he overcame the politics, production and logistics of anything.
Just using the mirror as a way to escape writing a story with substance. The MC is also heavily reliant on author's halo to survive; no assasinations, no members of cohort opposing him, his enemies being woefully incompetent at everything, no natural disasters or failure, everything in the world just folds in to fit his will. Boring as hell
