The part about Legoshi's mother made me emotional 😢
They cut some of leannos story out of the anime. Legoshis mom had a one night stand with an aspiring wolf actor/model (can’t remember which) in order to make sure legoshi was born with good genes. Hoping that he wouldn’t inherit the scales. And for years after her condition worsened she would isolate herself in her room only interacting with legoshi through a small hole in the door. In which she would feel his fur in order to make sure he wasn’t developing scales. Only taking her own life when she was sure he wouldn’t turn out like her.
