  1. The fact that this donghua has a stacked JP Dub cast you already know it's gonna be PEAK. I really do hope this gets more recognition. 🔥🔥

  2. why 3D model is mixed in, i'm ok if the model if cartoonish but the model was based on real life, That's why i skip most of the cultivation cartoon cause many are 3D models (real life ver)

  3. You should totally check out False Memory, it's another one coming out this year, it was based on an indie short with the same title which is available on Youtube with both Mandarin and English audio.

  4. I saw a teaser (or something, I might be mixing it up with another), but the point stands… Chinese animators are insanely talented. The Japanese anime industry has been slipping over the years, prioritizing quantity over quality. It’s about time they faced some real competition, and China is stepping up to the challenge.

  5. Just to correct you on this one. I don't think Donghua need to reach western or japanese market. They already dominate the biggest market in the world. Just recently Ne Zha 2 become the highest grossing animated movie and all of that came from domestic revenue.

Link Click is not even the most popular donghua in china. It's actually show called Doulu Dalu (Soul Land). Which I'm sure most anime fans probably never heard it.

I mean I'm glad the show did reach wider market. But to say they need to appeal to the western or japanese market is a bit silly.

  6. Unlimited Budget Works. We've seen a lot of mediocre story and plot becoming Peak just because of Animation Budget.
It feels like Japan was slowly falling behind in terms of Innovation in Anime and Games. The really need Competitors.

  7. I wonder how can chinese anime get away with any heavy themes, but from experience Im guessing they give more leeway to domestic stuff and selectively apply harsh rules on foreign stuff.
you cant have blood, corpses, skeletons, yuri, yaoi (actualy you can if you censor the kiss aparently?), nudity, ecchi, evil oppresive government (again, sometimes its okay?), vandalism and terrorism against civilians (they have quite a problem in China with desperate people taking revenge on society by stabbing a kindergarden or ramming cars into people), and Im definitely forgetting something else

  8. Daily life of the immortal King is the only animated Chinese series i watched so far, had no business going as hard as it did

  9. i dont want to be solo leveling hater but all people who saying SL latest fight took animation to another level just should watch this trailer and say this again, that trailer has tbh better animation then the SL fight ngl.

And i say it now, to be hero x will be higher rated in the end of the year, prove me wrong 🙂

  10. Damnn I heard so many familiar VAs, Tanjiro, Kirito, Megumin etc. + Hiroyuki Sawano on the soundtrack. Hopefully when the anime comes out it won't be like this trailer, switching from CGI to 2 different kinds of 2D animation feels weird.

  11. Hey Caw you've been doing a lot of trailer reactions lately! Do you have any plans to react to the Lord of the Mysteries 3 trailers? I don’t really get to watch your streams since they happen during my work hours, and I haven’t seen a video about this, so I thought I’d ask.

Since the fourth trailer will be the last one and is set to release the week before the donghua airs, I was curious if you’re planning to cover it. !
