Monster ID | The Beast of Tenby – mysterious unidentified creature
Ahoy there skullywags!
In this episode, we get to identify the “Beast of Tenby”, or the “Beast from the East” – an animal carcass that washed up on a beach in Wales in 2013.
It’s been described as having the head of a horse, the body of a pig, and the claws of a bear.
Was it the carcass of a horse? a badger? perhaps a hippo?
Let’s see if we can solve this one…

Very informative as usual.
It looks delicious… I wonder if there is a secret cabal of elites that delight in devouring secret animals. You want to know why you have never seen a unicorn? Because they are delicious, too…
If only the photo had included some mushrooms or a snake, we'd have known immediately.
Your videos are always extremely informative, keep up!
I'm 29 seconds in and seeing the "beast" for the first time. I'm calling Eurasian badger! I'll update with an edit when I find out if I was right or not.
I mean, it is never going to be a monster, but wouldn't it be cool if it were. Not that the real, natural world isn't fascinating, but to find something truly unknown would be awesome.
Why didn't you bother to get a picture of a wild cat?
its so freaky how different animals look after decomposing in water!
great video! 😀
So, not a Least Weasel but instead the lesser known More Weasel.
Information that isn't padded for 17 midrolls? Hooray!
I will say one thing here for any future vids and that's a corpse being dog sized doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility of it being a horse just because miniature horse breeds exist (which as adults are often bigger than dogs but their foals usually aren't). Obviously this wasn't the case here because of the whole having paws thing lol
