this title came up to me by a surprise like for REAL for real…
i thought this would be another junkfood for the season but then when you see the animation pop off like that together with good and detailed choreography and fire music … i was like what the hell am i even watching?
i cant tell you how much this series has grown to me in just 2 episodes… i just wanted more and got addicted in no time! and its not even just brains out and brawn… nah this is about character development and bro time as well? GIVE ME MY POPCORN PEOPLE cause i am/ was S A T
I'm pretty sure that the heterochromia and hair are a representation of being mixed race, and the show is critiquing Japan's problems with racism and conformity.

Sakura is indeed voiced by Yuuma Uchida, who also voiced Kyo in Fruits basket, nice ear ! (which is funny because Sakura is often considered to have a cat-like personality in WindBreaker)
The voice actor for Yuki (Shimazaki Nobunaga) is also voicing a character in WindBreaker so by a weird coincidence it's like getting back Yuki and Kyo with a whole new dynamic lmao

Tbh him getting made fun of for his hair and eyes, thus shaping who he is is kind of weak writing for a characters background
