Beastars[a] (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It was serialized in Akita Shoten’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion from September 2016 to October 2020, with its chapters collected in 22 tankōbon volumes. The manga is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media. The story takes place in a modern world of civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores, and where eating meat (which always comes from other anthropomorphic animals) is strictly illegal. Beastars is set in the same universe as Beast Complex, another manga of Itagaki that originally served as Beastar’s predecessor

An anime television series adaptation produced by Orange aired from October to December 2019 on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block. A second season aired from January to March 2021. The first half of the third and final season premiered in December 2024. The anime series is licensed by Netflix. The first season premiered outside of Japan in March 2020, and the second in July 2021.

    Louis x Juno appeal:
    One has learned to wear a prideful facade to protect his vulnerable inner nature and extends it to shield his loved ones from social ostracization while the other has the strength to honestly wear her heart on her sleeve and can wield it to disarm social barriers that obstruct true intimacy.

    Louis x Legoshi appeal:
    Both have enough experience wearing masks opposing their inner natures to recognize the other's facade and can call the other one out on neglecting their true passions, ironically using their shared jealousy and admiration to better each other.

    Haru x Louis appeal:
    Both feel vulnerable to larger society and can share that with each other without fear.

    Legoshi x Haru appeal:
    Both characters force the other to confront their deepest fears while giving the other hope that they can be more than the darkest part of themselves, finding in each other the joy needed to courageously reinvent themselves and transcend their base natures to become the other's companion.

    Haru x Juno appeal:
    Both are open personal communicators, and where one admires the other's independence and self reliance, the other's tantalized by her forthright assertiveness.

    Juno x Legoshi appeal:
    Nonexistant. While both passionately follow their hearts, it takes one until the final arc of the story to realize that the love she truly desires cannot be given to her by society at large and that she's better off wholeheartedly pursuing her personal relationships regardless of status, something the other has had come to understand much sooner as a social outcast. They can be good friends, but they lack the interest in each other's inner character needed for a more intimate relationship.

    I don't know if the manga ended but it would be interesting if like he had an affair with Juno while married and lied to Juno that he divorced her or something but that's just me because I like drama but ik it's unlikely lol
