This is the best episode for this series, so far. Sure, I liked that certain episode from S1 but THIS! It was enough to make me cry. I have like so many thoughts about this episode. A lot of 'WHAT IF's". Anyways, what do you think Grassmates? How did you feel about this ending for Yuri? Does she deserve better?
Well for me the best chapter of Blue Night arc is 120 so probably it will be in episode 11, your question about how Shiro got possesed in episode 1 of s1 will get answered there. Granted I'm as well interested how Voln will go around changes in two first episodes of s1 that A1 did. As whole I do have few favourite arcs in BE so there is multi episodes I love( pretty much Impure King arc, Beyond the snow chapters especially episode 12 and Blue Night arc are my favourite parts that anime adopted when as whole current arc from chapters 121 to for now 157 is my favourite as whole but that's if we get 6th season ) one of them is as well this one but ep7 with the full Rin mental breakdown is as great but probably when 120 will get adopted that will be my favourite episode of s5.
As Yuri goes, yeah sadly there will be one more scene for her that will be hard to watch( it's in opening when you see crying red shadow behind her ). And yeah her fate was really cruel and it got worse because of Order putting all blame on her( like Yukio said last season during their birthday ). She was doomed the moment she got pregnant because it was Satan's power that killed her like other people. But there is good from it she always wanted for humans and demons to live in harmony and this kind of manifested with Rin and Yukio beside that all of her words got pass by Shiro to at least Rin later( really if you even go back to old flashbacks you will be surprised how much Shiro repeated Yuri's words and how he learned from her <- Kuro's episode from s1 ). Her last words to Rin and Yukio to be good brothers to each others will stay with Rin and that will have awesome pay off later if anime gets to it.
