   Yes! This makes me so happy. Monster Hunter content was how I discovered your channel (though I have enjoyed plenty else from it since), and I have been loving Wilds so far. I hope in watching these I find that you have too!

   The whole character creation body type point is so true though.

   Most devs have removed the “male” and “female” labels, but ostensibly see things still within a simple binary where male = tall and broad-shouldered, and female = shorter and wide-hipped with breasts. Why can’t you build a valkyrie with massive shoulders and biceps, or a short king who’s incredibly masculine and strong but with a bit of a gut? Where’s my ability to build a tall elegant woman, or even a tall elegant man for that matter? And as a non-binary trans person, I WISH I could build a character without having to default to a male- or female-coded body. Build someone who looks even remotely like I do.

   The shapes are all there, just let us mix and match!

   I'm so excited that you are playing this game.

   I wasn't originally all that enthused about Wild's character designs – I have recently replayed Generations Ultimate and it made me miss the stylized, colorful fun of the old games – but it has grown on me really quick because it feels like the right choice for the environmental design. I agree that it's a shame that you can't really change the player character's body type, but as you said, it's not a MonHun thing specifically and the industry (and society's view on fat bodies in general) will need to change before that talking point would be allowed in from the doghouse in the first place. I will take it as a win that you can make older looking characters with some gnarly scars at least. It always brings me joy that MonHun is a game that allows old people to exist in the world and actually look aged – shrunken old men with hunched backs and grandmothers with weathered faces and barely any teeth left. Hopefully we will get there with fat bodies too eventually.

    7:01 the answer is money, people who give them the most money want something nice to look at, we’ve seen what happens to companies that dont do this, they crumble, and those that do fallow the money, thrive, It’s just good business.

    13:50 street fighter has a far goofier tone then monster hunter, “what about dark souls?” Your character is covered in armor 90% of the time, not to mention your character is a vehicle for the story.

    Monster hunter by contrast has you’re character by front and center in the story, you interact with the world, it would be hard to focus on the story if you’re character looked the nightmares that came out of street fighter 6.

    “What about being accurate to the fantasy?” The fantasy most people want is to be a hot model we see in magazines, everything else is in the minority
