We needed a funny, goofy episode after how intense the last one was! I also called it with the mystery member in the snowstorm, huh?

Making the most of who we know is its own reward, I guess.
It doesn't factor in to the plot much, but Laios' affinity for dogs is explained a bit later down the line, it's just… yeah, our chunk-headed hero got a little lost in the idea there, all they HAD to do was throw the caster off their game, just like with Kabru's party and those Corpse-Retrievers.
the final chapter of the story's second major arc (and this current season) is coming to an end with this episodes' cliffhanger here, so hopefully it'll be announced and released very soon, we've probably still got one more season after that to complete the story.
Always glad to catch ya on these, have yourself a lovely day and get some lunch too~
Finally, Laios unleashed the extend of his autism powers.
More seriously, there are explanations for all the fakes, who they came from and why from the manga extra. Here's what I remember.
On Laios : big Laios comes from Marcille, because he ended looking much more manly than she expected (all she knew is that he looks just like Falin). On the opposite side, it was pretty obvious that feminine Laios was Senshi's. All human men are femboys to dwarf standard and he seriously can't see the difference between the siblings. Stupid comes from Chilchuck. Yeah…
Marcille : cooler one is the strong impression that she left on Laios during the resurrection. The more innocent looking was from Chilchuck (hard to explain without spoilers). The ugly one is Senshi. Elf/dwarf racism. (The whole hate of magic is also linked to racist stereotypes, senshi hasn't see much of the world besides his homeland).
Chilchuck has two somewhat childish looking ones. The most childish one is from Senshi who still believes that he is just a kid (he doesn't know what a halfling is). Marcille knows that he is an adult but she can't help seeing him in a cute manner.
Senshi is prabably the hardest to guess. Broad Senshi is simply Marcille seeing him in a slightly exaggerated way. Handsome Senshi is from Chilchuck (tirns out that halfling beauty standards are strongly influenced by dwarven culture).
Interestingly, laios may have missed some basic details on Senshi and chilchuck, but otherwise he might have had some pretty accurate view of them. On the other hand, it's pretty obvious that none of them really understand him properly.
In the extra, Laios also deffuse the situation when Marcille wants to figure this out. He says that statically, discussing the why of the doppelganger is more dangerous to adventuring parties than the doppelgangers themselves.
There is a lot of mention of "living long" for a lack of a better term between the conversation on Elfs longevity, death beeing "forbidden" in the dungeon, resurrections, ghost etc.
