    Unlike The Simpsons and *Family Guy*, this Japanese anime portrays the housewife as the protagonist, in contrast to American shows where husbands often take the role of the main character. However, both overall confirm the idea that in a good, normal family life, husbands play more roles outside the house, while housewives handle internal matters. This overlap of gender roles aims to lead to conflicts that could lead to divorce and separation. Interestingly, this battle of sexism is evident in various society, including Singapore, the UK, and the US, where women aspire to be breadwinners.
    Moreover, the anime aligns with what my US anthropology and linguistic professor back in American University lectured: Japanese women tend to excel as housewives. They shape their children's cultural understanding and manners, embedding these qualities into the fabric of larger society. 🏠🌸🎌
