I Can Tell That The College Or University Has Fallen Into Chaos And It's Up To Legoshi And His Allies The Panda Man, The Sea Lion Man, The Horse Man And His Badass Komoto Dragon Grandfather To Save The Day.
I hope we get some of Melon's backstory in the second half, because it draws another parallel between them and why one's a good guy and the other a monster. Leanno might have gotten pregnant for a selfish reason, but she still loved Legoshi and always wanted him to experience a better life than she did; Melon's mother was simply a disturbed psycho who very likely planned to eat him at one point, and after he realized that, he killed her with no remorse and lied his way out of it. It's like with Harry and Voldemort: their backstories might look similar on the surface, but vital differences in their life made one more than capable of love and the other completely unable to understand it.
Do you think Melon knows Haru is Legoshi’s gf? And would he try to kidnap her or something because it doesn’t feel like a coincidence. Like he had to know that like everything about Legoshi and had information about his life. Things are brewing and gonna be one heck of a fight to see. We know Legoshi is going to come back out of the water. We saw him get pushed off since he was tied to that chair and Melon is the one who did it.
I definitely want to see the anime actually do something meaningful with the aspect of Haru's encounter with Melon in Part 2 because it pretty much went absolutely nowhere in the manga. Legoshi for some inexplicable reason just never found out that the so called "promise" happened or for that matter it was never shown Melon was even aware of Haru's connection to the aforementioned wolf either. All of it basically got dropped/forgotten about and really didn't amount to anything in the end. That scene at the festival with Louis telling Haru "don't be stupid and btw don't let yourself get devoured" didn't feel like a proper resolution to me.
It's a shame that a plot with so much potential was wasted, so here's to the anime taking that ball which was dropped and making something out of it.
