When I watch episode 17, I was like, really?
Jungle is on Fire (Initial D Final Stage) and Speed Lover (Initial D 3rd Stage)? Do you run out of Eurobeat songs?
I definitely think Kaito's battle against Katagiri was the best narrated of this race, because they really captured the "chasing down a helpless prey" feel of that battle throughout, especially the music.
Two cars that are literally beyond comparison to each other. A 200 HP FR sports car against a 670 HP MR supercar, in a nearly straight line. The rain might have helped Kanata a lot, but once it ended, the 86… was done for.
And these aerial shots were a great addition to the scene, because in reality, those kinds of shots just make the crowds scream like crazy to their TVs, cheering on an almost lost cause.
Seeing the jungle is on fire again is definitely nostalgic
This season has been blast, with all those Dusty/Fastway and Ace Eurobeat dominates the race
どれも10〜20年前以上の曲だけに再びユーロ熱が蘇る！！

I didn't like Sawatari before this race, but the moment he did the overtake on Beckenbauer i instantly liked the character just because of how he did the whole thing. Sadly he messed up trying to secure the race but man i loved that overtake.

As long as they don't overdo songs from Initial D, I will gladly welcome them, it was surprising they re-used Speed Lover and I'm all for it. I can die in peace if they re-use Gas Gas Gas since it wasn't used for a race.
Anyone else think this is unironically peak? The sounds, the art style, the dialogue and the EUROBEAT is all hitting incredibly hard I’m in complete awe. We don’t talk about the Angels, everything else is insanely well done – really does feel like a sequel to Initial D

I really love the camera work during racing scenes. A lot of people might not like MFG, but I have consistently been happy with the product, ever since the manga. So I'm glad the anime not only follows, but also improves on it.
