Part of me wishes Gosha’s voice wasn’t too gruff. I mean the guy is still technically middle age since his daughter conceived Legoshi when she was a teenager.
“My mom needed help before, and you didn’t give it to her. Did you?” I don’t know if there’s more info regarding Mom and Grandpa’s relationship to come in Part 2, but we didn’t see her come to him for help in the flashback later on. Seems almost uncharacteristically cold for Legoshi.
The anime added a lot of stuff and it's actually needed. This arc has a lot of good ideas and characters but the execution in the manga was lacking. I didn't even want this arc to be made into an anime but the adaptation blows my expectations out of the water. A LOT changed but it's for the better.
Edit: off of memory of the manga, the owner of the place being a reptile was only shown when trying to break the fight and Gosha was horrified and not mad like he was here. Even these changes are so much better flow-wise
