My dad recently passed away.
The first time I heard this song, it was just a very good, very sad song.
Now… it hits different.

1:18 feels like that one moment you just let your head sink and let the realization wash over you and take you away.. that they are never coming back.
Of all the experiences in my life, losing my mother was the worst. An elderly friend was visiting me after and she said, from her own experience, “you will never stop missing her”. And I could see it in her eyes that she was still heartbroken.

This became my favorite scene in the show within an instant. The choice to surround the area with a pencil-drawn, dull visual was the best thing they could have done. The only vibrancy, the only real parts of that scenario for Cait was her, her mom, and Vi. All other surroundings were nullified into dull, void of color blurs. Absolutely incredible art direction. Speaking from experience, thats exactly how an experience such as that feels
