Everything that NEEDS to happen in Arcane Season 2

Arcane season 2 is a little over a month away so its time for speculation! Since it’s been 3 years since we’ve gotten any Arcane content I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what storylines and character arcs season 2 can offer. And most importantly, What NEEDS to happen in order to stick the landing with what Season 1 sets up in that finale. This video took me way too long to make so please subscribe I must feed my cat. thank you for watching

  1. There is ability in league where you can turn into a golden statue and be unlikable for that instant

  2. 10:38 about these Seven Plagues of Egypt: are we talking about the biblical ones? 🤔
I just want to be prepared for Armageddon Andrew.
    – I think that Mel will die within the first episode. This will help solidify many of the predictions you’ve made.

  3. Regarding this figure 15:26 the detail under the eyes is a feature of Mel’s design 🤔… so the throne room, the gold motif and the theme of psychic hauntings, all point in this direction.
    – Actually Andrew 👏 so glad for this Season Announcement. A man needs something to serve. 😅 #ArcaneAwakenings

  4. i just wanted to point out one thing. jinx is definitely NOT rooting for vi's downfall. in the clip you showed of her staring down vi passed out, you can see a tear in her eye. she's not happy to see vi like this and is hoping to see her rally (hence, betting on her.) @7:11

  5. yes she doesnt have an armor but Mel def has an object whitch allows her and Jace to survive maybe even zhonyas hourglass…looks exactly like that when you use it in the game , Viktor will survive because of hextech/shimmer thing he did to himself everyone else in the council are dead for sure, im concerned that many are going to be disapppointed with the 2nd season, writers truly arent lying when they say that every character is going to be opposite of what they were in season 1 and I have seen many people being not happy about that, like people expect Jinx be the BIG villain of the season but I dont believe so , trailers are always very misleading , so you dont get the spoilers, I also believe that characters need to die but I am very interested in how they are going to do it….since arcane is now canon and if they kill EKKO or JINX….for example popular character then they cant write future stories for him …or they have to do it in a cheap manner like marvel " oh he is alive again"

  6. the mel take is dumb lol but expected

edit: finished the video,, you are wrong about literally everything lol (almost)

  7. the shadow figure is le blanc look up a picture of her and its dead on.
its the season 1 model of caitlyn in the nothing to lose clip, not season 2 model so thats pretty pointing to the idea that caitlyn the noble enforcer is gone. people seem to forget alot of Cats morals were the result being shelter, ekko calls her out on this its easy to be her when its not her love ones dying (big problem in Real life). it looks like everyone is being put in the other shoes, Vi is the jinx/powder of the group someone who no one wants her help as she makes problems worse. Jinx is now the Vi and now has to make decisions based on that and caitlyn is the zaunite who will never get justice and just has to suck it up. its likly Vi choose's Cat in act 1 only for things to go horrible wrong which is the theme of what happens when Vi chooses Cat over her sister. we also see cats and ambessa symbol together as well. Arcane isn't really sticking to plot armor protects MC's from consequences from bad decisions which plague modern media.

  8. So I definitely buy into the golden armor theory simply because it matches too well with the game as well as there is a clear shot of it emphasized under her clothing before the rocket hits, but I do think she will eventually die. Perhaps it saves her via a coma or something long enough for Ambessa to take her place, maybe discover the gold armor shield and use it herself, idk. But mel will eventually die imo

  9. 2 Things:
    1. Have a bit of faith in the writers my man. They pulled of Cartoony bad guy and dreamy pixie girl as well as a gay female lead with no prior experience. They won’t mess up now. They can’t as the story was written 5 years ago.

Secondly (Spoiler warming) referring to the concept art there is an additional layer that is very very easy to miss.
The songs of Arcane season 1 paint a continuous story of Powder and Ekko.
Vi has no own song except for Vanders Undercity in the form of Playground.
Powder (not Jinx but Powder) has in total 3 songs and is part of most of them (exceptions being just Misfit Toys aka Ekkos song, Dirty little animals aka Silcos Undercity and Playground aka Vanders Undercity).
Also the songs tell the story of Arcane.
So Powder is the main character of the series. Not Vi.
Vi gives you a perspective but she is not the protagonist (Powder is also the only character we get an inner perspective further proving this point).
Why do I mention all of this:

Its because of What could have been.

    So the basics:
Goodbye, Guns for Hire and What could have been are the Powder songs.
All unite a few key factors:
    1. Played in F-Moll.
    2. Piltovers theme is present (aka the violins).
    3. The sisters theme is present in some variation (exception being Goodbye because of their breakup).
    4. Someone sings about Powder and Jinx (most likely the hallucination of Vander as we never see him except for the last scene conjured by Vi).
    5. They all have 2 strophes contrasting each other.

What could have been is all about the decision Powder makes at the end of season 1 (to trust Silco and abandoning her sister).
So the strophes are about the duality of this decision (main theme of Arcane so we could be on the right path):
    1. Jinxes happiness to be „complete“ and of value and to be appreciated for who she is by Silco the only person she can trust, who believed in her.
    2. The pain and anguish she feels because the only person Powder wants in her life cannot accept who she became. That Silvika wasn’t lying. That she is truly alone.

And guess what both strophes have an crescendo but the crescendo about her happiness falls flat by one half note behind the crescendo about her pain.

Her pain of losing Vi > her happiness for being perfect as Jinx.

This ties back to the theme that no one in Arcane can break the bounds of love.
This also ties back to the fact that Vi could reach Powder right before Silco died. Vi simply didn’t understood what was happening. This contrast Ekkos attempt with Dynasties and Dystopias as he brought Powder back in the past where the monsters could be fought and Vi being the protector she is. Ekko failed because Powder hadn’t the same bond with him as with Vi. Vi failed because she was talking to Jinx and not to Powder.
Thats also why Powder tried to kill herself alongside Ekko (to stay in the past) and why she sided with Silco in the end.

What Im saying is that Jinx is a mask to hide Powder. And Powder is freaking strong.

So the concept art could be interpreted way differently based on these themes and ideas.
I believe Powder and Vi leave Piltover at the end of the season and while Powder still hides behind Jinx because thats the only way the world will see her, Vi will still be sad because parts of her sister died on the bridge.
Vi holding her sister like that could simply be a mad world of Vi.

Finally and this I should have added at the beginning because this is now a point three:
How the f*ck can Viktor and Jace survive the impact but Mel dies?
This „tattoo“ is made out of some kind of metal and has magic properties (this glow at the end of season 1 wasn’t natural or a reflection of the bomb).
The hex core wasn’t there to save Viktor and just a quick shimmer infusion would only save him (but Jace needs to survive). Also he has no shimmer left (thats because Sky died and he wasn’t down in the Undercity to get more).
Something that I personally could also see is that the impact didnt kill anyone but just severely injured/drained Mel and the council dies at a later point (maybe the attack of the Chembarons which would make sense as we definitely get a timeskip somewhere for Cupcake to become sherif [I mean who would even choose Cupcake over someone more respected of the enforcers, because remember under Marcos watch she wasn’t really the best representation for the enforcers and had a lot of enemies]).

I will definitely have an eye on this channel because you may not believe this but Im obsessed with the series.
    But yeah
    Thanks for reading.
If you have questions feel free to ask them.
    Have a nice day

  10. Literally no champion can die, they all have impenetrable plot armour sadly

  11. I liked your video but pretty much all of your main predictions will be wrong. There's literally no chance they'll have the balls to kill Mel, for a start. They'll play everything really, really safe.

Vi and Jinx and absolutely guaranteed to get back together. Jinx will get a full rehabilitation arc. She's the mascot from the game and there's absolutely no way she dies.

Ekko will be used as an impact character just like last season. He won't die obviously.

But have an upvote anyway. I'm looking forward to your thoughts, you're perceptive and engaged.

  12. I dont like your attutude after minute 3 so i left (i left a comment to support you chanel)

  13. I disahree with almost everything but i respect the argumentations

  14. Piltover would shit on Noxus.

A bunch of barbarians still using spear and shield vs a nation that has soldiers with rifles AND hextech weaponry? Noxus gets dunked on for sure.

But it's a fantasy show with magic and robot wizards, what do I know 🤷‍♂

  15. I think mel will definitely be pronounced dead because they couldn't find her body which will still have the same effect on ambessa and jayce but she's in too much promo stuff to be dead

  16. Awesome video btw – I'm so excited for the 2nd season of Arcane so it's fun seeing other people discuss thoughts and theories for the show. 😊

A theory I have for the guy that is supporting pit fighter Vi and who looks like Vander is that he will be a sort of parallel/be Vander-coded. He's looking after Vi who is living through one of the lowest points in her life, much like Vander, and is able to be a parent-like/older brother-type of person to her. We see in the season 2 trailer Vi reaching out in horror at something and while that could be relating to Jinx, Ekko, Cait, etc I think it could be interesting if it was about this guy, Vi seeing him get killed. Or if not then, I can see it happening at another point. A big wolfy boy (if ykyk) enters the picture, and maybe between interacting with Vi and Jinx, kills this guy (Vander-looking guy), because much like Powder 'dying' in season 1, this could further the point that Vander is truly gone now, the hope that he was still somehow there being lost. Warwick having killed the guy that resembles Vander.
This could be cool because despite characters being their 'opposites' in season 2, parallels like this like Vi losing her father-figure again, and having to come to terms with 'her sister is gone' (whether she does sincerely or not as it may just be to convince Cait of something) makes more similarities evident to season 1. 😊 Anyway that's just one random theory of mine and may be totally wrong. But yeah I think the Vander parallel could be quite strong.

  17. "As soon as I saw pit fighter Vi, I fell to my knees"
"I think Vi is the best written character in the show. I love her"
he speaks for me too ya'll he speaks for the gays

  18. "Mell 100% needs to die this season"
mhmm idk. Just speculating but having her alive but hurt could be a huge motivator for Jayce to help Viktor with Hextex/ body modifications to attempt to save Mel's life.
Maybe Viktor fails to save her but it "heals" his illness and that creates the rift between them. In game Viktor and Jayce obviously had a major falling out. I just can't see how it'll happen rn. Thinking up theories here.

  19. What NEEDS to happen: lots of Deaths?

Eesh😬 well thats a rip cause from watching the full leaked episodes, no-one has died within the first 5 episodes. Not a single person, everyone part of the council room survived Jinx's rocket

  20. mel wont die, pretty sure she will be in critical condition though. Also, its important to note, people arent saying its just gold armor, they are theorizing it to be ZHONYAS HOURGLASS, a reference to the game arcane is based upon. It has the ability to basically freeze yourself in time.
