Great ending.
Yes it’s S2. They trick you in episode but it’s a recap.
Season 2 follows the manga art style and designs, which takes some inspiration from the first time the light novel volumes of the series were published before it was republished with the new art style, which is season 1 follows, though it’s very watered down in quality compared to the LN art in artistic detail and stuff. Hakuto looks the same as in season 1, but way more cooler and sharper around the face and looks a bit younger compared to the anime versions. The girls look slightly older and in general the illustrations are way better like the faces.
They didn’t include the interludes and lore content chapters from before he was Isekai’d in season 1 and only hinted at things like the missile falling in the opening scene of season 1. They rushed, skipped, and changed the order of events of the lore to fit into this episode. Have no idea why they did the recap of the very beginning when he met Aku. The acting and feel in Season 1 matches the vibes of the LN better.. So far the expressions and behavior here seem more like the manga in addition to the designs and art. Dialogue is fast as hell too in this and even the Greole and cherub scene was followed better in season 1
Btw there is a lot of lore in between chapters in each volume that showcase events that connect to him being isekaid. They sorta stuffed a couple volumes worth in 10 min I think.
