Song of One Year (年の歌, Hitotose no Uta) is a piece for wind ensemble composed by Akito Matsuda. This song was selected as the free piece during Kumiko’s third year at Kitauji.
Current part was shown in the final episode (13) of season 3 of Hibike! Euphonium as part of their national performance!
I do not own this piece, credits go towards Kyoto Animation and Akito Matsuda.

演奏してる時に、その日までの練習の日々、たくさんの出来事が沢山よみがえってきて、嬉しかったことも楽しかったことも悔しかったこともくるしかったことも全てが思い出で、そんな日々を過ごした部活もこの演奏が終わったら、終わるんだ。寂しいな、終わりたくないな、楽しかったなと現役時代思った記憶があります。回想シーンを見て改めて思い出しました。コンクールの曲って当時は死ぬほど聴いて嫌になるほど聴くけど結局は大好きな曲になるし、我々にとって楽しかった学生時代を思い出させてくれる青春曲というか、そんなような存在になるんですよね、きっと。
Once I heard about the release of the season 3 CD limited edition set preorders going live, I knew I had to buy it. Listening along to this while being able to read the official score makes this experience so much fulfilling to me. I grew up with this series as a band kid in high shcool and I graduated college with Season 3. I may not have pursued music as a career (for a few reasons) but I always felt connected with Kumiko with how much it connected with her and maybe not being the best player in the section, but wanting the best product in the end. Maybe one day I will get to play at least one piece from the show, but for the time being, I am super glad to have grown with it and the music from it.

5:46ここよく聞くと、この曲はちゃんと祈りの曲なんですね！
この盛大な部分の終わり方がアーメン終止の変型版（Ⅳm→Ⅰ）なんです。
それこそがユーフォの隠された物語のベースにして特にこの第3期の隠されたテーマ。
（EDの終盤、久美子の心の中の描写で、ベール姿の久美子の敬虔な祈りが描かれますよね？）
この曲はユーフォの物語の集大成、正に全体を締め括るに相応しい曲ですね！
そして春の旋律=始まりの旋律に戻り（ユーフォは始まりの物語！）、決して終わらぬ曲として未来へと繋がっていく…！

考察だけど、4.50のとこは京アニ事件で亡くなったひとにさよならは言わずまたねってことだと思った、そこで鳥が羽ばたいていくところが追悼碑と似たような感じなんだよね

管楽器の中でファゴットの音が1番好きなんだけど、やっぱりファゴットの音色いいな
哀愁のある切ない音色がたまらない
響けユーフォニアムの子たちみんないっつも涼しい顔で吹いてるけど、最後の一音ちゃんと力が入ってる顔にしてくれて嬉しい
