It's a common misconception that Gamera vs. Garasharp is a short version of a scrapped Gamera film. It was later clarified as being its own short film for the Gamera Permanent Preservation Plan Collection as a bonus in 1991. The short's supervisor Noriaki Yuasa said, "The creator of the film announced that it was the un-produced Gamera movie. But Garasharp is a character which was made specifically for the bonus tr[a]ck of the LD set."
I'm sure this would have been a great addition to the showa films if it was made into a full length feature film. Thanks for the upscale and the subtitles
It’s criminal that Daiei didn’t do this into an actual movie opting instead to make that godforsaken Gamera: Super Monster (by far the worst Gamera movie in christendom)
I like how this short develops Gamera's Character by showing it's not just human children he cares about.

私はあり得ない空想作でありますが。あの｢決戦、南海の三大怪獣｣という確か大映の作品でイカ怪獣ゲソラ、大亀怪獣カメ－バ、ザリガニ怪獣ガニメが登場した映画がありましたが、この三大怪獣とガメラが戦う作品を新ガメラ作品で制作してみては？と思いました。スト－リ－も本作品に出てくる宇宙生命体が人間や生物に乗り移り、巨大化してのをガメラが3対1で戦うのはどうかと。あまり、三大怪獣は有名ではありませんが…。
