The first chapters are a lot of anguish, then more anguish follows and… just prepare the handkerchiefs, and I already saw the first chapter of Ōoku and the truth was quite good. I would have liked to see more of Mizuno, but I'm happy for him. The truth was I was worried. Yes, there are some terrible customs in the private chambers. I also want to see what else Yoshimune-sama does.

I love Miyano Mamoru from Hakuouki’s Iba Hachiro 😭 So glad to hear him in Ooku too, arikoto ❤ For me, I like the prelude story more because of the freethinking female shogun. Can’t wait for next season!!!

I'm still halfway through watching the series and so far, I'm loving the journey. Diving in, I've already expected the narrative to be dark and sombre, but never had I expected it to be in such a deeper level.
I firstly thought arikoto himself was handsome but then I realized he was voiced by none other than Mamuro miyano 😇

At first, I wasn't sure if I'd end up watching this one, but after seeing this segment I definitely want to watch it.

Just finished watching the anime series. What I could say is my heart aches for Arikoto. If only he… Anyway this is such a tearjerker stories 😢 I need season 2 especially more about yoshimune's reign

Just watched the whole thing. The emotions portrayed were heartbreaking yet beautiful at the same time. The animation and acting were mesmerizing. I hope that there's a next season.

I really really loved this anime. It had a very interesting and unusual story idea. I was very glad when i heard Miyano san as my favorite voice actor in the role of Arikoto. The director made an excellent choice when he let him act free and adjust the scenes to it, they were full of emotions and this is what carried the show for me. The scenes were he was angry or sad really stood out to me. Matsui san also did a splendid job when voiceacting Iemitsu!!!
PS: Both look georgous in these Kimono <3
