My Final Thoughts on this Episode:
“The Dangers In My Heart” Season 2 finale was beautifully done, through its blend of heartfelt romance, comedic interludes, and compelling character dynamics. Kyotaro and Yamada’s relationship development, punctuated by poignant confessions, captivates audiences. Kanzaki’s comedic interventions add a layer of levity, enriching the episode’s narrative texture. Shin-Ei Animation Studios masterfully captures the essence of all the confession scenes, imbuing them with authenticity and charm. The episode’s soundtrack as mentioned several times throughout my reactions where absolutely amazing, each one of those moments had blended in with the animation which created such a strong and emotional effect, leaving us the viewers with warm hearts and fulfilled expectations.
In summary, “The Dangers In My Heart” Season 2 finale concludes with a poignant affirmation of love, drawing audiences into a captivating journey of self-discovery and emotional revelation.

THIS is how you write a romance. 10/10. These two are definitely one of the greatest couple in anime of the last decade. I really feel sorry for those who dropped this show in the beginning, cause Ichikawa and Yamada turned out to be such amazing characters through the course of the show.
Some interesting things i wanna share:
*all the titles of the episodes (which are called "Karte" in this series) are always, since episode 1, a phrase or sentence from Ichikawa's perspective, usualy a thing he thinks involving Yamada. In this last episode, when the "Karte" appears, we only see the first part titled "I…", and then YAMADA THOUGHT COMES IN, continuing "We…", and then finally the both together "…Fell in Love", as now both are one. This is the only time the "Karte" had Yamada's own thought in it.
*in the manga, the chapters that adapted these last 2 episodes are titled, respectively:
Ch. 110 – I Want To Tell Her
Ch. 111 – My Love For Her
Ch. 112 – I Want To Respond
Ch. 113 – My Love for Him
So basically chapters 112 / 113 are the ONLY ONES IN THE ENTIRE MANGA that the title is based on Yamada's thoughts, not Ichikawa's. In the last episode they kinda mixed these 4 titles, so it became "I, We, Fell in Love"
*the "Karte" is always in a black screen, with the title in white. In the last episode, it's the opposite, it's all white, symbolizing Ichikawa's own world now, not dark anymore, but bright, bc Yamada is in it.
*when the band that sings the Opening was asked how they composed the lyrics, they said they were big fans of the manga, and so, they used part of Ichikawa's OWN CONFESSION to make the lyrics. Meaning: we have been listening to Ichikawa's confession for the last 3 months since Season 2 aired.
*Ichikawa's phrase after Yamada kisses him, "I really am messed up in the head", is a reference to THE VERY FIRST EPISODE of S1, where he thinks the same thing, but in a more depreciatory way, cause he had all those bad thoughts back in the days. In here, however, we can clearly see he's thinking the same thing with a whole different perspective and meaning.
*the translation of both confessions: in Japanese, Ichikawa says "Suki", which they translated as "I like you" (bc japanese people in general don't express themselves too openly in terms of love, so they use the word "like" to many things, even for love), but in Yamada's confession, she says "DAI Suki", and "Dai" means "huge, big", which got translated as "I love you". Of course, this doesn't mean she likes him more than he likes her, but it means her way of express herself is more open.
The confession scenes are the purest and the best ever in romance anime history. Though Shirogane's confession in Love is War is epic, it was so over the top even Kaguya herself called him out for it in the movie.
Also, The Dangers in My Heart officially cemented itself as one of the best romance anime of all time:
– The first anime to sweep an entire season of weekly ranking lists in both anime ranking sites Anime Corner and Anime Trending (Placing at #1 from start to finish, beating powerhouses like Frieren and Solo Leveling) and winning the majority of seasonal awards, effectively winning "Anime of the Season" on both sites.
– It is the top Winter 2024 anime in My Anime List and currently the fourth best romance anime (#22 in the Top Anime list) with a score of 8.90.
