I think the reason Melinda acted so wack is BC she was forced into the marriage, possibly at a very young age.
I mean just look at both of them, Donovan already has grey hair, prob above 50 years old while melida looks around 40 (for refence, if we assume her oldest son is 16 and she had him at 20 then she would be 36. So being 40 is very young with such an old son).
I wouldn't be surprised if Donovan was like late 20s to early 40s and used his money and power to force melinda into a marriage with him.
As a mother she still loves her sons but she can't help but be reminded of what her father did to her whenever they are around which is why she is so distant.
But that's all speculation
The legends says, that Yor and Melinda are both from the same female Yandere Clan which gets all madly furious when their children are in danger 😂😃🩸

I’ve only watched the anime so far, I had a chance to buy them but the first time I saw them at the store I had my money but they didn’t have volume 1, the next time I saw them they had volume 1 but I didn’t have my money!!! So now I’m either gonna wait until I have my money, the mangas are at the library or I can get the entire series for less than $12. (Okay maybe not less than $12)

Tbh I really like manga but there relationship dynamics is really slow paced, I mean I get it we dont rush things but they dont even give us a pinch of loid's emotions like sometimes being worried but not realising it or feeling a little just a little for yor, like just dont rush but dont be so cruel to the audience though… but I think I am just really eager, also the when damien says he is Anya's friend and there interactions are so cute ❤😩, I really get so excited to see them I really wish when they grow up they date

Out of all the villains this manga has had so far, Melinda scares me the most.

I remembered when we went home late after our school's general cleaning (elementary ), our teacher advisor was worried for angry parents so she escorted us one by one asking for sorry,
I was also afraid to be scolded by father after getting home late, at the same time I was tired and weary from the mountain of garbages we just cleaned. I even prepared excuses in my head to explain to him, but after seeing my Father on His way to our school to just to get me
I just instinctively ran to him and hugged and cried unto him.
He was shocked, and I at the same time can't control myself from crying and hugging him so he ended up scolding my teacher instead, who was also at that time confused why I acted that way. I felt guilty for her though, I just can't help myself that time.
So the next day our teacher was clearly displeased with me by saying something in the hearing of the class how disappointed she was after even after trying to escort me to our home.
When I read this, her crying seems to be that she realized that someone was there for her and worried about her wellbeing.

Im kinda starting to think somewhat the Desmond has some sort of doing with anya's powers… Maybe im over thinking it but the fact that the two of them still had never met but only anya knows how he looks like through Loid. Im starting to wonder what actually he does for Wise to follow him to this point.. we still dont know what he does because idk i just Got this idea Knowing THAT Damian is Good at Language and ANYA is Good at Language only mispellings because she is literally a toddler among 6 years olds and the fact that there is a lot of Subjects in their class but Language somehow comes up quite often to the point that in the few manga she learns Ancient LANGUAGE from this Grandpa using her spy Show. Idk but who trult knows

it hit me hard when i saw him saying “could you please not tell father that i cried?” like-
he’s a child! he can have emotions too! and him being refrained from showing them, that’s not gonna be good in his future. if you’re telling your child to not cry, or to not show emotion, you’re practically ignoring them or telling them they don’t matter. so take this to heart, DO NOT tell your children to not show emotions, or they’ll feel horrible and if they do show them, they’ll probably be even more upset that they did because they think they’re in trouble if you show emotions. so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, let your children show they’re emotions and help them get better showing them in different ways.
