    I'm not sure if Netflix can be trusted with this one. We'll all get sucked into the awesomeness of this series, and Netflix's out of touch board members will cancel the series and use the budget to make more reality TV shows. Oh yeah, you'll never see them cancel "The British Baking Show."

    That has to be the most powerful title drop in Netflix anime history. The build up of the entire trailer, the theme of this narrative, the simplistic and cartoonishly-looking title (Plus, the U is Classic Pluto’s horns), and… the choir. Oh my all-high Yod, THE CHOIR! It truly feels like the dark prime rebirth of a vibrant veteran classic. Bravo, PLUTO Team!

    I've been reading Pluto at the behest of one of my professors. Let me tell you, I have never finished a manga series so fast. Then I hear about the anime! I am ready!!

    Horrible! this is the most lazed animation ever!!! Garbage. I prefer 20 min per episode, very well animated than 1 hour of rough animated ….. they just talk, and the animation is soooooo simple. Garbage. Osamu Tezuka must be very sad in his coffin.

    My wife and I finished this a few days ago. I was a fan of the manga since I first discovered it back in 2013, and to find out it was getting an adaptation filled me with dread, I won't lie. It was too fragile a piece, like a painting from long ago, to screw up with the usual vices of anime production that plague this day and age.

    How wrong I was. It was not only faithful to the art and story, but in a few spots, even better than the original manga. The manga is still the superior product, don't get me wrong, but some scenes translated so well to animation that it moved me to tears. As an example; the story of North No. 2, which delved heavily into themes of music as art, took full advantage of the medium and capitalized on one of the weaknesses the original story had to contend with.

    There was so much to love about this. We watched just one episode a day as not to burn through it all in such a short time, but towards the end, my wife was demanding we watch at least 2 per day, till we finished it completely. She got so invested in Epsilon and Gesicht, and when the credits of episode 8 rolled, we both applauded.

    I am so unbelievably happy that this masterpiece was done so well.

    I watched it and didn't expect it to blow my mind this much! I cried way more than I ever thought I would. The writing is intelligent and loaded with plot twists. It's just 8 episodes long but the character introductions and developments are strong enough to create a connection with the audience and move you to tears when witnessing their fate. It's brilliant how the anime touches on mind provoking topics like value of life and equality. This series crticises the consequences of war, of careless, arrogant behaviour, of playing god.
    Following line hit me hard (Not an accurate quotation):
    "Be careful to not make the robots too similiar to humans. Nothing good will come of it."
    First I didn't understand what that was supposed to mean, but once I kept on watching, that line hit me so hard. And there are so many incredible lines in this whole series, it's just wonderful!
    I'm quite in awe in front of this much writing skill in combination with smooth production and high quality. I cannot ask for anything else. In my opinion, it's in a league with Death Note and Ghost in the Shell and yet something completely different.
    It brings a certain innovative, yet unseen aspect to the screen that gets under your skin.
