Disney failed yet again with their live action Little Mermaid movie, swapping out an Ariel of Color for the familiar pale redhead we all loved from the original cartoon. How did that work out for them? Bailey was adorable…l was looking for wokeness in the movie…the only messed up thing was the white prince's Brit black mom…that was stupid. Halle played it graciously. Melissa was awful, Bardom was weak..the biggest problem was the movie was literally too dark, it should have been brighter..but all in all l hate Disney. Now Peter Pan was ridiculous.

It wasn't a profit or break even on box office alone.
And lets not forget that the Wokequisition sent their excommunicators/cancel-cultured minions to attack artists on X, Facebook and even on places like DeviantArt, who kept drawing the original Ariel even when the artists themselves were not even aware that the new movie existed. Heck, even reposting old art of Ariel from years ago attracted more people — sadly the toxic ones — than back when they were posted for the first time 🤫
Holy shit I just noticed I was un-subscribed.
My daughter and wife watched the “Little Mermaid” adaptation this year, they both looked bored and uninterested in it. When I suggested that they watch the original right afterwards (yes, my daughter is even young enough to have never watched it) they were immediately enthralled with the whole thing start to finish. Even I was stuck on the screen until after the first song. It’s the kind of magic that you can’t get from modern Disney, because Wokeism and Feminism have ruined romance for young women today. There is a reason why marriage and birth rates are dropping, and this kind of garbage is exactly why.

Your reaching a little hard dont you think? You think 'leaking' one concept art they could be arguably defined as fan art justifies this much speculation? You remember how they 'leak' clips and such so they can use the response as a marketing method right?
But for argument sake, let's say your right and the woke war IS being won. Are you going to go back to Disney? Are you going to go back and give them money again? Is all forgiven just because a heartless, soulless and moral-less company gives in to your demands? Are we going to forget the way they treated fans constantly AND how they would overwork and underpay their artists (A long standing Disney tradition)? Are you really so quick to get back in line?

Honestly, Bailey could've probably made it work. She doesn't look bad, and she gives the look more of an islandy feel. Sadly, they weren't interested in anything making sense, just pandering.
