  1. You just gotta love lupin the Greatest thief of all time
Zenigata:🕵️‍♂️😠🚔 you can't get away from Me Lupin
Lupin:🇯🇵😁 try and catch me Old man He He

  2. Lupin literally means wolf.
The cop finds meaning in life chasing the group.
At one point, they're shown driving a similar style vehicle to Lupin's signature ride.
There's one to one recreations of specific chase scenes referenced from the series and films, especially Castle of Cagliostro.
The fox is straight up Fujiko.
It finishes with a built up twisting heist with almost impossibly impractical elements that all go right for the group.

I know this film is a love letter to Lupin the Third, but it's practically a complete replica of the best elements. And this video is a perfect blend of the two.

  3. Surprised you didn't include the moment with the safe and all the money flying out of the car. Seemed like an homage to Castle of Cagliostro. The Bad Guys is still my fave CG Lupin movie.

  4. Fun Fact: In Italian, if we remove the N from the name LUPIN, it remains LUPI and Lupi in Italian means WOLVES.

  5. the zenigata march was so perfect, i knew the movie was based on lupin iii but the music really made it feel Just like it

  6. finally finished watching the movie after forgetting to complete after so long and damn this really was a lupin iii film. also, these songs match perfectly lmao

  7. I would even add that the animation and staging found in The Bad Guys is directly inspired by the style of a Japanese director who worked on the co-production of the first animated series on the character of Lupine III, which 7 years later made his first feature film (and yes) The Castle of Cagliostro featuring (again) this gentleman-burglar and who in the meantime worked on a 26-episode series featuring the characters of Sherlock Holmes, Dr Watson and Pr James Moriarty, who in the series is represented by a wolf ! 😁 That is to say.

  8. When castle of cagliostro first released the lupin name wasnt able to be used due to a dispute with the la'blanc estate so it was released in english as WOLF. Funny they chose a wolf to be their lupin! 😂

  9. Wow, I always knew there were references to Lupin The Third in the bad guys movie but with his music it is a thousand times better

  10. The name "Lupin" is derived from Lupus i.e. Wolf. I think they knew what they were doing.

  11. I wouldn't have been interested in Lupin any other way. Still prefer the Bad Guys, even though I've never watched it because the people who have the money to rent it aren't interested in it so I can't watch it, and I don't have a job nor am interested in getting a part time from anywhere. Maybe I'll make a local concert show, where if people are interested I can talk to people in my costume and basically be a youtube livestreaming channel except in a live concert format where anything can happen on a schedule and based off of what's most requested.

  12. I hope they put a thank you to Lupin or Monkey Punch in the credits; because I can see someone not knowing anything about Lupin and thinking this is all original. Give our man some credit!
