Disney is recasting Luke, Han and Leia – multiple sources agree on this, however one source is adamant that Disney is NOT remaking Star Wars! According to a high level source, they’re seeking new actors to play these classic characters with other plans in mind – here is what I’ve been told, and if it’s true, it represents a fundamental shift in Lucasfilm’s attitude toward Star Wars! Here is what I was told! #disney #starwars #lucasfilm

  1. I'm wondering, something more important than these recasting and Thrawn Trilogy rumors, if someone called someone directly to have that someone pass on a message to you Lord DVD, the exact words were, "if you would please send MR DVD a message" that's direct intent with knowledge, wouldn't that mean at least one of your Hollywood spies cover has been blown? I don't know, that worries me more than the certainty that Disney will find a way to screw the Thrawn trilogy up….

  2. Who cares? I just don't even care anymore. If they finally make a good movie, and someone I trust says it's good, I might actually watch it. Otherwise, it's just a waste. I just can't invest any more caring in what they will or won't do with SW, that has been taken from me.

  3. Snore. I never saw the fascination with those books. I read them and barely remember them. I couldn't be less interested. EU stuff sucks.

  4. Presenting it as an unverified rumor? Yet, how often have you been proved right. Your track record is impressive, as befitting our future Ruler.

  5. Sounds a lot like the 1974 Mustang II, remounted on an extended Ford Pinto which explodes.
    Cheap, clunky, nobody wanted it.

  6. So KK killed off the OG characters in favor of the bland new ones no one cared about, and now they are bringing back the OG characters? Got it.😂😂😂😮

  7. Even if the casting is perfect and the actors love Star Wars. It won't matter. Disney burned to many fandoms, insulated fans, and couldn't get out of their own way.

  8. I've always thought Lucasfilm teaming up with Pixar would be the perfect collaboration. No, it's not going to be just like the original trilogy or how I saw the story in my head when I read the Thrawn trilogy. But given that the Trawn Trilogy is 5 years after ROTJ the window to make a live-action movie closed at the turn of the century when Lucus was in the middle of the prequels. And now with both studios needing a serious win it just makes sense. If it's done right.

  9. I wouldn't trust Disney to do anything right. They would "wokify" it somehow and totally ruin the story, characters, or both.

  10. If doomcock reminds me to check if im subscribed one more time I'm gonna unsubscribe….

  11. Going back to the EU could maybe win me back. I still have my issues with the EU, which was why I was willing to humour the new canon to begin with, but at least it wasn't a complete shitshow.

  12. As an EU fan, I would love to see the best EU stories "Faithfully" adapted to the big screen. No race, gender, sexuality, etc. swaps. If that could happen, I would be okay with recasting Luke, Leia, and Han so those stories could be told. That being said, I have no hope that regime currently at Disney & Lucasfilm could pull this off.
