For me I'm not too into Vashs redesign. I prefer his original look. Also the change to his gun is another thing that urks me. After both of those opinions I agree that Trigun Stampede deserves a 9/10 cuz its an amazing experience.
if i'm being real (and at the risk of sounding like a "hater"), I highly doubt the promised neverland anime ruined that story. I read the manga way before the anime came out. It started REALLY STRONG but fell off just as hard as the final arc of attack on titan
I don't think it's a prequel at all, since they killed off his brother and changed the story and world greatly. And I think it's far worse than Trigun, because it fails at delivering the right message, it's full of nonsense and its ending is unsatisfying in general.
I can not stand the 3D CG but I hear it does not follow the Anime at all. So it is Trash The manga is what I wanted to follow. The Manga is great. 98 is Great as well but left a good bit of the manga out but still followed it for the most part.
Wait I thought you said it was a prequel so knives should be nowhere to be found. Maybe your lame so lame you will let any story walk all over your simp a$$ and like it. That is what I just heard. Trash, Are you a fake anime fan. because not of what is in this show would be hard for 2D you must be new to anime or something. More time-consuming yes but hard not even,
Although I disagree with the opinion that this is better than the '98 anime, I really liked Stampede. It's gorgeous and captures the ideas behind Trigun beautifully. However I felt as if it were incredibly rushed. I really felt that squeezing so many characters, backstory, and sci-fi concepts into 12 episodes was too ambitious and I would've loved it if they had been able to take their time with a longer season. That and I felt the animation quality was inconsistent episode to episode. Still – I loved what we got!
Just knives character redesigned this adaptation/retelling better. Feels like the characters have actual stakes not just a whole build up to a mediocre last fight with knives in the old anime.
Still, my favorite adaptation is the '98 Trigun. But Trigun 23 is also wonderful and reveals other aspects of the story. I don’t understand why there is so much hate towards him?
I think its better. Unfortunately better also comes with more boring and depressing. So if you want something more cartoonish watch the other. If you want something more deep & detailed watch this. Its the difference between the samurai x films and the tv show. Though one can't help notice this is a product of its time. So a plethora of women were added to the show and theyre usually right and the toxic men are wrong. You may get sick of this trope by the end. I'm surprised they didn't reveal Vash was a girl which is why he's so kind and good lol. That would fit the narrative.
Im actually reading the two mangas and watching the 1998 versions and once Im done I'll watch the 2023 version because it was actually that version that got me into Trigun!
I’m worried because season 2 is apparently supposed to be the last season, but is 12 more episodes really enough to do this series justice…? If the next season doesn’t disappoint then I can see this series going down as one of my favorite anime of all time.
The original trigun is better. Stampede isn't bad. I enjoyed it. But Vash and Wolfe Wood aren't the same in this retelling. Vash was a funny dorky badass in the original. This new Stampede vash is well…. vinilla. Also the Nebraska family redesign sucks. The cool spaghetti wester electric guitar music is missing wich is disappointing. 😮💨 If they only incorporated what was great about the original and then told a more maga accurate story I would of loved it. But no. I give Stampede a 7.5 out of 10. 98 Trigun is a 10 out of 10.
This was better than the OG for me. Story felt more contained, each episode escalated one after the other, added in some manga only characters like Livio and Elendira and the finale was just amazing. Orange studio has convinced me that 3d character designs can be done well. This and The First Slam Dunk. I did not gave high hopes for the this series but I was proven wrong. It's the best anime show i've seen this year.
honestly its my first time watching trigun and instead watched the 90s one, and honestly the comedy and personality of them both are very different i couldn't find it fun watching the new one the animation and 3d is pretty cool, questionable at certain events just to make it cooler than logical already at ep7 of the new one and eh

As for redesigns I like it, they basically gave him a red version of Nero's Coat from DMC 5, ripped sleeve included.
Interesting. I didn't watch this because I'm not a fan of the art style, but I'm gonna give it a watch now!
For me not knowing dogshit about trigun Universe and watching stampede it was a 10/10 for me and trigun stampede was the first Cg anime i completed

The original Trigun anime is on another level..

Don't like the type of animation or a lot of the changes that were made
Definitely prefer the original anime
